The Following video discusses in summary the history and future of the Centaur Upper Stage Programme. Regarding future plans Centaur successor ACES is detailed as well as RL10C-1 begins flying in 2014, Hydrogen RCS and ACS thrusters as well as full IVF in 2015, Centaur DEC Human Rating achieved in early 2016, and ACES First Flight around the end of this decade at the earliest.

United Launch Alliance celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first successful launch of the Centaur upper stage during the Ohio Aerospace Institute event on Nov. 22. Centaur was recognized as the hallmark of innovative design and engineering excellence.
