Hi all,
I'm trying to calculate pointing requirements for a lunar/interplanetary mission. At the beginning of preliminary design, how would one go about calculating pointing accuracy requirements in terms of degrees/rad?
It's obvious that they are derived from the mission requirements, but how is that generally done - from celestial geometry/attitude geometry?
For example, the pointing requirements in this case are antenna pointing, solar pointing, delta-V pointing and stellar pointing? How could one quantify these requirements?
Looking for advice from attitude control/GNC specialists, please help, thanks! :)
