For the mission and some NEA mission outline content, some of which previewing what we have to write up shortly.

All the best to them for a successful 'mission'
(let's hope the weather cooperates)

So great to have a Brit participating in a mission!
For a joke, Tim should start having a cup of tea on the sea bed - from a Queen Elizabeth II mug! :D

Wooo, go Tim! :)

I think we can allow you some latitude... ;)

NEEMO 16 Simulates Spacewalk Underwater
Published on Jun 14, 2012 by ReelNASA
ISS Update commentator Josh Byerly interviews European Space Agency astronaut Tim Peek, NEEMO 16 crew member. Peek talks about the spacewalk techniques they are testing by simulating an asteroid mission underwater. The activities are taking place in the Aquarius undersea laboratory

These are the missions I want to see.
Launch in 2025 to 1999 A010.
180 days to a NEA and back.
JSC will build a massive deep space hab for launch on SLS.
Orion, CPS, DSH will fly there with some astronauts and grab some rocks.
Ticker tape parade as the first deep space explorers splash down safely after a 100% success.
More NEA missions.
Mars moons in the 2030s.
Mars landing by 2040.
I don't see why gateway and SEP are needed.

Science Under Pressure with Aquanaut Timothy Peake "The Sweet Lift" Topside
Published on Jun 15, 2012 by NASAanalogTV
"The Sweet Lift"
The second Science Under Pressure Experiment is here! In this topside experiment, Aquanaut Tim Peake (ESA) tests the lift capability of a remote-control helicopter with a payload of chocolate candies. Do you think the helicopter will be able to lift more or fewer candies under the increased pressure of the Aquarius Habitat?

MEDIA ADVISORY: M12-116
NASA ADMINISTRATOR TO SPEAK WITH NEEMO 16 CREW DURING UNDERWATER 'SPACEWALK'
WASHINGTON -- NASA Administrator Charles Bolden will speak with
astronaut Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger, commander of the 16th NASA
Extreme Environment Mission Operations (NEEMO) mission, and her
fellow crewmate Timothy Peake of the European Space Agency at 4:10
p.m. EDT Wednesday, June 20 as they perform their final "spacewalk"
of the mission, 63 feet below the ocean's surface.
The administrator's call to the crew will air live on NASA Television.
The NEEMO 16 crew has been simulating asteroid exploration on the
ocean floor since June 11. They are scheduled to return to the
surface June 22, after living for 12 days inside the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration's Aquarius Underwater Laboratory off
the coast of Key Largo, Fla. At the successful completion of the
mission, they will have performed 16 underwater spacewalks.
The NEEMO 16 mission is focusing on three particular challenges of an
asteroid mission. The crew is investigating communication delays,
restraint and translation techniques and optimum crew size. The
isolation and microgravity environment of the ocean floor allows the
NEEMO 16 crew to study and test concepts for how future exploration
of asteroids could be conducted.
Metcalf-Lindenburger and Peake are accompanied inside Aquarius by
Kimiya Yui of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and Steven
Squyres of Cornell University. Squyres also was a member of NEEMO 15.

NEEMO 16: Simulating Communications Delays
Posted on Jun 16, 2012 by Aquanaut Kimiya Yui (JAXA)
Today, we didn't have any EVAs. However, we had several interesting events today! Our commander Dottie had live, underwater interviews while in her diving gear. Tim Peake and Steve Squyres had some interviews with a 50-second communication delay. Imagine if you asked a question, but you couldn't get an answer for 100 seconds? It must make a really strange interview!

Underwater jetpacks with Neemo
29 June 2012
ESA astronaut Tim Peake and his Neemo crewmates resurfaced last week after spending 12 days underwater off Florida’s Atlantic coast. The aquanauts tested equipment and techniques for future space exploration as well as finding time for educational experiments.
Although only 20 m under the Atlantic Ocean, the voyage home took 17 hours. Living underwater requires a long decompression to allow the aquanauts’ bodies to adapt to normal surface pressure.
