Title: Rocket Engine Spotted Q&A
Post by: spopky on 04/30/2012 10:25 pm
Hi guys,

Just saw this rocket engine being shipped on I-395 towards DC, heading for the Air and Space museum I am assuming. I think it might be the J-2 from the Saturn V, but I'm not sure. Can anyone identify what it is? Thanks a lot.

-- Sorry it is upside down, I can't figure out how to flip it.

Looks Like an SSME (RS-25).

P.S. Nice first post. Welcome to the forum.

Notice the big box like object with all of the wiring (computer).

Probably the SSME that was on display with Enterprise at NASM. Maybe it's going to NYC as well?
