Indian scientists are proposing and developing a wireless network of sensors that would help to detect water on the Moon:

I'm not sure how this is going to work. If these sensors are immobile, then how will they seek out the lunar water in the permanently shadowed regions? Are they going to collectively track the flow of vapor traces across the surface? A so-called lunar hydrosphere?
