The photo showing the Delta CBC side by side with the Atlas CCB (first time I've seen such an image) is very informative.  It answers the question posed by those wondering why one costs more than the other.

3 * 5.1 m = 15.3 m
4 * 3.81 m = 15.24 m

So conceivably the Delta Mariner could carry four CCBs in a single trip!  Just the right number for an AJAX launch!
