Title: Nikolai Sevast'yanov around the Moon

In an Novosti Kosmonavtiki news item for 11 April, the ever-entertaining Nikolai Sevast'yanov (head of Energiya) has stated that he wishes to fly around the Moon with none other than cosmonaut Sergei Krikalyov!!!

I am rendered speechless. :)

I had come to like him...at least he had some vision :(

The interviews with Nikolai Sevast’yanov that were at the top of the Energiya website were also been “purged”. I looked in Archive.org and found them (English versions), though the illustrations with the articles were not saved (the Archive.org site is erratic in archiving pages; it can also be frustratingly slow).

Sevastyanov will oversee construction of a spaceport in Priamurye. (RIA Novosti)

Former President of the RSC "Energia", Nikolai Sevastyanov will oversee construction of the "Eastern" spaceport in Amur region, told RIA Novosti spokesman of the regional government.
The Governor of the Amur region, Nikolai Kolesov, signed decree about Sevastyanov's appointment to the post of Deputy Minister in the regional government, said the representative.
"According the document, Nikolai Sevastyanov will oversee governmental issues related to the construction of the "Eastern" spaceport in Priamurye" - said the agency source.
The new cosmodrome will create 25 thousand jobs in the Amur region. In the project planned to invest 186 billion rubles.
The construction of the Eastern spaceport will be held in several stages. Initially only unmanned spacecraft will launch from a new spaceport, but since 2018 - manned spaceships with the cosmonauts on board.

I am suggesting to retitle this thread "Sevastiyanov in Vostochny". Vostochny is a transcription of "Eastern" from russian

www.novosti-kosmonavtiki.ru reports that Nikolai Sevastyanov has recently resigned from the post of Deputy Prime Minister of Amur region. As a result, he won´t oversee the construction of Vostochny spaceport.
