Just the Kazakhs lording it over everybody again. One more reason to go to Sea Dragon to replace Proton. Once R-7 launches out of Kourou--shut the place down. That the Russians have to pay to use the facilities they built is disgusting.

Quite the opposite.  The pollution at Baikonur and downrange is more disgusting.  the Kazakhs didn't get any compension for the soviets putting a facility in their land and most Kazakhs were and are not allowed to work there.  The US pays for the rights to use facilities all over the world that they built.  Most US bases on foreign lands are done that way
