Title: Curious question: Why is Doug Lyons the STS-122 LD and not Mike Leinbach?

How did it come that Doug Lyons became the STS-122 Launch Director instead of Mike Leinbach? Just a curious question.

When I asked Mike, he said what happens if something happens to me.  They are instituting a back up posture, just in case.

So are they going to rotate every other flight or is this just a one time thing?

I like it being Doug for 122 so you can see someone different?  If they flopped back and forth for each mission it would be nice.
