All the Yahoo links work fine. 99% of the time that someone has a problem with the Yahoo links there is not actually a problem. Must be on your end.
It works fine for me with WMP11 - what is the problem?Sorry for late reply. It just doesn't work. Since the site is so user unfriendly, I have no idea how to make it work. I try to start it and leads into a video player window, starts buffering and never goes beyond 0%
What is the story with the lack of attention to NASA TV for STS-124?As noted in the thread for today's launch attempt, nothing special about it -- they've always done that period in a shuttle countdown that way.
Always the same camera, no audio...

Nice first post! Add the ISS mission audio please...
I remember there was a separate live Video feed from LC39 ... as I still have it in my favourites (the link to it was: rtsp://163.205.10.21:8080/encoder/lc39.rm). Anyone any clue, what happened to this one ?Hi m330533,
Has anyone found a way to watch any NASA TV channels on an iPhone? As great as the device is, it doesn't play very many media files online. Not even the Quicktime link on the NASA TV page.
Joey
Is there anywhere to download these HD videos? I know spacemultimedia has recordings but they're not very high quality. Is there any freeware that would allow me to record these?I couldn't easily find a way to record the live stream, but you can use Firefox combined with http://www.downloadhelper.net/ (http://www.downloadhelper.net/) to record from their archives. Hope that helps.
Direct link won't work. http://brevard.fl.scanamerica.usWeired as it works for me. I have it as link on my desktop and it always works.
It is the KSC trunked radio system on the left channel, which includes security, fire, launch ops, etc. The right channel is UHF/VHF from local airports, the STA, Coast Guard, and AF ops.

You're using an old beta - why not upgrade to the release v1 and retry?didn't realize a new version was available  I had heard of problems w/ the version that was out right after 0.8.6d, so I didn't bother to check. I will give it a try.
My old Yahoo contact doesn't work there anymore, so I can't ask him to reboot the servers.
Although maybe he knows people still there. I'll try him anyway.
Stopped working completely.... on any webcast
Did anybody record NASA TV's Soyuz landing last week on DVD? I missed it and would like a copy for the collection. Otis
WMV 300kbps is actually 150kbps. Can someone confirm?
on another point, we need somebody US based with a access to a sat. dish pointed to AMC 3 and a dreambox/sat receiver uplink it to one of our servers so we can stream it ourselfs.
I've tried at work but can't get it with 2 meter dish.....
Uplink provider = Americom
Satellite = AMC 3
Transponder = 15 C
87 Degrees West
Transmission Format = DVB-S, 4:2:0
Downlink Frequency: 4000 Mhz
Downlink Polarity: Horizontal
FEC = 3/4
Data Rate = 38.860 MHz
Symbol Rate = 28.1115
allright, does anyone know how to set up a tv tuner with vlc?

Probably under "Open Capture Device"?
Hallo , exists any stream nasa tv in realy low quality. Minimum I find 150kbps. But for slow mobile conection I want some about half. For Win mobile, pls. Thanks.
Does anyone know how to watch NASA TV on a droid?
Google pops up with SPB TV - http://www.getjar.com/mobile/50266/spb-mobile-tv-for-motorola-droid/
Give it a shot?
Anyone having issues with VLC freezing and stopping all the time on even the 300k NASA TV feed?
That's been around for a while now, they only use it for missions.
I think they are pretty comfortable with the HD stream on UStream now anyways. Looks pretty durn good...
Ustream HD feed is far lower quality today. :(And it's back looking a like a SD feed with with a NASA HD logo slapped onto it.
EDIT: Back to it's usual sharpness now. *phew!*
Educational documentaries from the 90's are probably not going to be in true HD :)Maybe so, but what about the the logo? It's all blurry and low-res. Not exactly HD quality.
Windows media streams of the public channel are down today?
NASA has removed the WM(Yahoo) link from the web page.

All WM Yahoo streams appear to be down.
...Which means I can't watch the Russian EVA. >:(
If you have quicktime you can use the high iPad feed - http://liveips.nasa.gov.edgesuite.net/msfc/Wifi.m3u8 which is actually a good quality feed now.

WASHINGTON -- Effective Dec. 19, 2011, NASA Television's Public, HD, Media and Education channels will be available for downlink on satellite AMC-18.
NASA TV will provide dual service on AMC-18 and its current satellite, SES-2, through Dec. 18, 2011. By Dec. 19, cable and satellite service providers, broadcasters, and educational and scientific institutions must have their receiving devices tuned to AMC-18 to continue accessing NASA TV for distribution.
NASA TV's Live Interactive Media Service (LIMS) for media liveshots will be moving to KU-band service, effective Dec.17, 2011. Satellite, transponder and KU-Band parameters will be provided before each interview event. NASA will attempt to schedule each set of liveshots on a satellite in close proximity to AMC-18.
For complete NASA TV and NASA LIMS downlink information, visit:

Not sure about the yahoo link?
Note to viewers: On July 31, 2012, NASA.gov will stop streaming NASA Television in the QuickTime and Windows Media proprietary formats. The change will help us simplify our webcasting infrastructure. The site will continue to stream NASA Television and NASA Newsaudio in Flash and HTML 5 for iOS devices.
Not sure which channels this could be, Sounds like them all. :( But no more Windows/Quicktime streams.QuoteNote to viewers: On July 31, 2012, NASA.gov will stop streaming NASA Television in the QuickTime and Windows Media proprietary formats. Does somebody besides me have problems with the USTREAM feed of NASA-TV? The status is for me "offline" since the weekend. And the feed on http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html is useless as well, since the volume is almost quiet.

Don't feel bad. I am in Oregon and have all my volume sliders maxed out. I can still just barely hear the audio on the USTREAM feed. That does not bode well for hearing the audio Sunday evening.

I can't find the ISS Mission Audio on NASA TV. Is it gone?
Your link to the NASA Media channel shows up as NASA Education channel?
1. There is no NASA TV or ESA TV on UK Freeview.
2. ESA do not rebroadcast NASA TV or even any of their own programming as a stream.
For agencies that bang on about public outreach this just seems extraordinary. I can imagine so many examples that people unaware of what is going on up there might encounter NASA/ESA TV. I know there are some sat channels but I'm not sure how accessible they are even with Sky or something like that (which I can't afford). This makes the lack of streaming options doubly frustrating. I should launch my own sat, or fund my own Freeview channel :D
Anybody know why VAB/etc. webcams at KSC have been dark since several weeks ?
http://science.ksc.nasa.gov/shuttle/countdown/video/
Would any one know what happened to the Live feed of the viewing of the Earth from the ISS?
I'd like to know as well. Stream failiure ! I have not done some kind of benchmark, but I think ustream performance is worse than windows media or real media ever was (I thought RM is some ancient discontinued thing?). Is there a way in the UK to pick up the satellite feed with a bigger than standard, motorised dish plus booster ? Or is that never gonna happen ? I have thought of pusuading my government or the ESA to put a dedicated channel on our digital TV, but that could be a very long painful process.
The translation of Russian audio in no longer being passed. Can anyone in the know confirm this is a permanent change?
Post the links and I'll make sure it gets done... Thanks!
