Cross posting here from Soyuz MS-17 page.   Poor Nikolay Tikhonov  left behind yet again....

I have not heard anything official from Roscosmos about a crew change on Soyuz MS-17 but it's clear that the cosmonauts now training at JSC are Sergei Ryzhikov and Sergei Kud-Sverchkov   with backups Oleg Novitsky, Petr Dubrov.

https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/nasa-astronaut-kate-rubins-crewmates-to-discuss-upcoming-spaceflight

June 25, 2020
MEDIA ADVISORY M20-074
NASA Astronaut Kate Rubins, Crewmates to Discuss Upcoming Spaceflight

NASA astronaut Kate Rubins will discuss her upcoming second mission to the International Space Station, along with cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Sergey Kud-Sverchkov of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, during a news conference at 4 p.m. EDT Wednesday, July 1, from NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.

The news conference will be broadcast live on NASA Television and on the agency’s website.

This will be a virtual event with no media present due to the safety restrictions related to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Reporters who wish to participate by telephone must call Johnson's newsroom at 281-483-5111 to RSVP no later than 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 1. Those following the briefing on social media may ask questions using the hashtag #AskNASA.

Rubins is not available for one-on-one interviews at this time. Those wishing to interview Ryzhikov or Kud-Sverchkov should email Megan Sumner at [email protected].

Rubins and her crewmates will live and work aboard the station for six months following an Oct. 14 launch on their Soyuz MS-17 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. They will join station commander Chris Cassidy of NASA and cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner for an eight-day handover before the Expedition 63 crew returns to Earth on Oct. 22. After Cassidy’s departure, Ryzhikov will become Expedition 64 commander.

During Rubins’ mission, the crew of the first operational crewed flight of the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft – including NASA astronauts Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Jr., and Shannon Walker, as well as Soichi Noguchi of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) – will spend six months aboard the station.

Among some of the hundreds of experiments ongoing during her mission, Rubins will conduct research using the Cold Atom Lab to study the use of laser-cooled atoms for future quantum sensors, and work on a cardiovascular experiment that builds on an investigation she completed during her previous mission. During her first expedition, Rubins helped advance important science and research and became the first person to sequence DNA in space.

Born in Farmington, Connecticut, and raised in Napa, California, Rubins was selected as a NASA astronaut in 2009. She launched on her first spaceflight July 6, 2016, spending 115 days in space as part of Expedition 48/49. She completed two spacewalks, totaling 12 hours and 46 minutes, and returned to Earth Oct. 29, 2016.

Rubins received a Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology from the University of California, San Diego, in 1999, and a doctorate in cancer biology in 2005 from Stanford University School of Medicine’s Department of Biochemistry and Department of Microbiology and Immunology in Palo Alto, California. Before joining NASA, Rubins worked as a fellow and principal investigator at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she led 14 researchers studying viral diseases that primarily affect Central and West Africa.

For nearly 20 years, astronauts have continuously lived and worked on the International Space Station, testing technologies, performing science and developing the skills needed to explore farther from Earth. Through NASA’s Artemis program, the agency will send astronauts to the Moon by 2024, with eventual human exploration of Mars. Inspiring the next generation of explorers – the Artemis Generation – ensures America will continue to lead in space exploration and discovery.

So is there a error on this schedule on NASA TV:

October 13 at 11:45pm CDT = October 14 at 12:45am EDT?

Soyuz MS-17 launch time after 12:45am EDT = 04:45 UTC?

NASA Just tweeted this photo of Vic Glover undergoing training for Crew-1, it looks like the Expedition 64 insignia can be seen in the back ground next to the Expedition 59 insignia on the ISS mock up. I believe this is our first look at the patch for the Expedition.

I’ve used virtual reality training before, but simulating a spacewalk and robotic arm operations with my actual crew-mates was a first (and great training)!

ISS-64 crew has started the final stage of preparation

The entire crew of the 64th long-term expedition to the International Space Station will undergo joint training at the Cosmonaut Training Center in preparation for the flight, which is scheduled to begin in October this year. The ISS-64 crew includes Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov, Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and NASA astronaut Kathleen Rubins. The backup crew includes Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky and Pyotr Dubrov, NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hai.

Today, July 20, 2020, on the eve of the immersion in the hydro laboratory, cosmonaut Sergei Ryzhikov, who has one space flight, and cosmonaut Sergei Kud-Sverchkov, who will fly to the ISS for the first time, tried on Orlan spacesuits. This week, it is planned to carry out further tests of the hydro-laboratory systems with the participation of the ISS-64 crew cosmonauts, who will work out typical extravehicular activities and targets planned by the spacewalk program.

According to the training schedule for the Russian crew members, Sergei Ryzhikov and Sergei Kud-Sverchkov will perform classes on conducting scientific experiments related to human research in space and technologies for space exploration, as well as in the field of medicine and biology. The cosmonauts will be given lectures on the systems of the Soyuz MS manned spacecraft and the Russian segment of the ISS, as well as trainings to strengthen the skills of controlling the spacecraft, in particular, certain modes.

These days, for Sergei Ryzhikov and Sergei Kud-Sverchkov, the final tasting of the onboard food will take place. Cosmonauts from Roscosmos and a NASA astronaut will try on flight clothes that they will wear while working at the station.

As part of the training as part of the ISS-64 crew, the current week for NASA astronaut Kathleen Rubins is filled with lectures, practical exercises and consultations on studying the Russian segment of the International Space Station and the Soyuz-MS manned transport spacecraft, its design and layout, as well as communication systems and direction finding.
