So, about the GOLDS-UFSC...

The satellite that is going to be launched is not the satellite that was originally intended to fly.

The initial setup consisted of using a 6U deployer from ISIS Space, where 3U would be used for the 2U GOLDS-UFSC spacecraft, and the other 1U for a cubesat from INPE. The other 3U slot on the deployer was reserved for Innospace to allocate to their clients.

However, about a month ago, Innospace informed UFSC that it was necessary to reduce the orbit from 500 km to 300 km. With this, the mission duration was significantly reduced. The projected lifespan was reduced from 1 year to about 3 weeks, and so it was decided not to send the flight model (FM) of GOLDS-UFSC, and instead to send the engineering model (EQM) of GOLDS-UFSC. This is an identical satellite, but it is the model that was used for more rigorous testing, and it wasn't intended for flight. It was only to have a copy of the satellite in the laboratory to perform remote control and telemetry operations before sending remote controls to GOLDS-UFSC in orbit.

In turn, INPE abandoned the launch of their Cubesat, and it was needed to fill the slot with something, so it was decided to build a new 1U satellite, which was completed in 3 weeks of work. This new satellite was named FloripaSat-2A, since it was built from the FloripaSat platform. So, the GOLDS-UFSC EQM is FloripaSat-2B.

GOLDS-UFSC (FM) will possibly be launched in another mission.

Wishing them lots of luck! Their little rocket looks cool, hopefully they will be the ones to get hybrids to work.

New DATE for the SPACEWARD Mission: Dec 17 (BRT)

INNOSPACE has rescheduled the SPACEWARD mission to December 17 (BRT), with a launch window from December 16 to 22 (BRT).

This adjustment is an essential step to thoroughly validate the signal-processing segment observed during tests conducted with the Brazilian Air Force(@fab_oficial) using aircraft, ensuring enhanced launch safety and mission reliability.

During the Wet Dress Rehearsal (WDR) held on November 18–19 at the Alcântara Space Center, we successfully completed the full ground launch sequence—from rollout to pre-launch procedures and pad recovery. Readiness confirmed.

INNOSPACE continues its preparations with precision to ensure a safe and responsible mission.

We will keep moving forward—stay tuned for updates. ✨

Delayed by 2 days to replace a component:

INNOSPACE Reschedules First Commercial Launch of ‘HANBIT-Nano’ to December 19 (Brazil Time)
INNOSPACE announced today that it has rescheduled the launch of its first commercial launch vehicle, HANBIT-Nano, to replace a component in the first-stage oxidizer feed system following an anomaly.
2025-12-17

Launch to proceed two days later following the replacement of a component in the first-stage oxidizer feed system cooling unit

INNOSPACE announced today that it has rescheduled the launch of its first commercial launch vehicle, HANBIT-Nano, to secure sufficient time to replace a component in the cooling unit of the first-stage oxidizer feed system, where an anomaly was identified during final launch inspections.

The launch, originally scheduled for December 17 (BRT), has been rescheduled to Friday, December 19 at 3:45 p.m. (BRT).

INNOSPACE transferred HANBIT-Nano from the integration facility to the launch pad on December 15 (BRT), where the vehicle was successfully positioned. During the final inspection process prior to vehicle erection on December 16, an anomaly was detected in the cooling unit of the first-stage oxidizer feed system. Following a detailed assessment of the cause and required corrective actions, INNOSPACE decided to reschedule the launch.

The issue requires replacement of a specific component within the cooling unit and does not indicate any structural defect in the launch vehicle. As the replacement can be performed while the vehicle remains on the launch pad, INNOSPACE determined that the launch can proceed two days later, despite the fact that a new launch campaign typically requires approximately three days of preparation.

The launch window for the HANBIT-Nano SPACEWARD mission is open from December 16 to December 22 (BRT).
