Unity's final flight. @NASASpaceflight @virgingalactic @Spaceport_NM #Galactic07
It was an honor and a privilege to fly Unity’s last commercial flight during Galactic 07. So much work by so many incredible employees. While we might see Unity flying in a different role, the focus is now on the Delta class. Farewell VSS Unity, you’ve been an incredible ship!
We had a GoPro installed on the pilot’s right window. As cool as these shots are, the brightness of the colors and the details you can pick up are just indescribable…! There’s nothing on Earth that can match this view, you just need to go out there and see it with your own eyes!
Happy smiles of the Galactic-07 crew post landing! An outstanding international example of crew bonding, cooperation and friendship built in just 4 days. Memories that will last for a lifetime. Space travel does reunite the World!
Research update: On June 8, a team of @UCBerkeley researchers sent their 3D printing technology to space for the first time as part of the #Galactic07 mission. Their next-generation microgravity printer — dubbed SpaceCAL — spent approx. 3 minutes in space while aboard VSS Unity. During that time, it autonomously printed a total of four test parts, including space shuttles and benchy figurines from a liquid plastic resin. Learn more about the science from @Cal_Engineer here:
