The final assembly of the Suzaku-2 Yaosan rocket has started and will carry payloads to further verify the ability and accuracy of entering orbit

Jiuquan, July 12th (Zeng Yue) The Suzaku-2 Yao-2 carrier rocket was successfully launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on the 12th. Blue Arrow Aerospace Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Blue Arrow Aerospace") subsequently held a media conference. Zhang Changwu, chairman and CEO of Blue Arrow Aerospace, said at the meeting that the final assembly of the Suzaku-2 Yaosan rocket has begun, and it will Further verify the orbital capability and accuracy of the rocket under load, laying the foundation for mass delivery next year.

Dai Zheng, the deputy chief engineer and deputy commander-in-chief of Zhuque-2, said that the Suzaku-2 Yao-2 rocket is the world's first liquid oxygen methane rocket that has successfully entered orbit, officially opening the prelude to a new era of liquid oxygen methane rockets, marking the The first self-developed engine-powered launch vehicle of a domestic commercial aerospace company has been fully verified.

Talking about the advantages of the liquid oxygen methane propellant used in the Suzaku-2 Yao-2 rocket, Dai Zheng said that liquid oxygen methane, as a brand-new low-temperature propellant, is non-toxic and environmentally friendly, low in cost, sufficient in supply, good in cooling, and stable in combustion And other advantages, especially the characteristics of no need to clean up after the test run and low maintenance cost of the engine, which meet the needs of commercial launch vehicles and the requirements of reusability.

Regarding the next launch plan, Zhang Changwu said in response to a question from a reporter from China News Agency that during the arrival of the Suzaku-2 and Yao-2 rockets, the Yao-3 rocket had entered the final assembly state. "We will establish the reliability of the Suzaku-2 carrier rocket through three rockets, and will carry a payload on the next rocket to further verify the orbital capability and accuracy of the rocket under load, and prepare for mass production next year." Lay the foundation for market delivery." Zhang Changwu said.
The Zhuque-2 Y3 might be launched in 4Q 2023.

It'd be interesting to see if the third Zhuque-2 rocket is incorporating minor modifications to the upper stage vernier engines that were made to the Zhuque-2 launched earlier this month after the first Zhuque-2 launch failed to reach orbit.

It'd be interesting to see if the third Zhuque-2 rocket is incorporating minor modifications to the upper stage vernier engines that were made to the Zhuque-2 launched earlier this month after the first Zhuque-2 launch failed to reach orbit.

Why would they not include the change if it fixes a previous problem? The verniers will disappear when the second stage engine is replaced by the TQ-15A.

https://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2023/07/zhuque-2-launch2/

"In the second stage, the rocket still features a TQ-12 engine, assisted by four TQ-11 vernier engines. This will change in one of the upcoming flights with the upgrade to the TQ-15A engine, providing gimbal capabilities and deleting the vernier engines."

Zhuque-2 and Yaosan are about to be launched! It is expected to become the first privately-owned liquid rocket in China to successfully launch continuously.

On December 1, the Blue Arrow Aerospace Zhuque 2 Yaosan liquid oxygen methane carrier rocket was successfully transferred to the launch area and is preparing to select an opportunity to carry out the launch mission in the near future.

It is worth noting that the arrow body of the Zhuque-2 Yaosan launch vehicle also has the English logo "POP MART" of the domestic blind box industry giant Bubble Mart, as well as the latest series of Bubble Mart figures - "Moumei in front of the court" In Chinese, the two parties may cooperate, but the official announcement has not yet been made.

It is understood that on October 29, the Zhuque-2 Yao-3 carrier rocket departed from the Blue Arrow Aerospace Jiaxing rocket manufacturing base and was transported to the Blue Arrow Aerospace liquid oxygen methane rocket launch station located at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

The rocket will carry an effective satellite payload. Based on the flight data and test and launch experience accumulated from previous launch missions, some product design improvements and test and launch process optimization and adjustments have been made to further improve and strengthen the reliability and safety of the product. sex.

Officials stated that the Zhuque-2 Yao-3 launch vehicle officially carried out commercial launch missions.

At the same time, it is expected to become the first privately-owned liquid rocket in China to successfully launch continuously, which will mark Blue Arrow Aerospace’s first step into a new stage of large-scale commercial launch of liquid rockets.
