Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site Tourism
« on: 07/07/2019 02:05 am »
Has anyone visited Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site since they opened the visitor center? There are many reviews but most seem to be from locals, so I'm curious if they are open to international tourists and if there is anything I should know before going.

I've found myself spending some time in Hainan recently and want to make the most of it. There are several launches planned but it seems they have to overcome some engine troubles before they get back to LM5 launches here. If I'm lucky I'll be there and free when then next one happens, but either way I'd love to see the site.

There are some rocket models and a portion of what appears to be a flown tank in the Haikou airport which were interesting to see. I attached pictures of those if anyone is interesting. Please let me know if anyone else has done this journey recently or at all.

Thanks!
