But after landing Dragon 2 goes back to factory (?) for service. BFS will have to start from MArs and then land again on Earth.

Landing on the launch mount??? Sounds needlessly dangerous, such precision required and I don't see the necessity. One gust of wind, or any minor occurrence that shifts the landing position just a little bit off...and you get an RUD that wrecks everything.
The location of 39a is worrisome too. A failure of the Saturn V at the pad resulted in marginal survivability of people at the KSC firing rooms, the sort of force equivalent to a small nuke: MCT/ITS is twice the size! What's going to happen when one of these things blow up ? (let's not kid ourselves - it will happen at some point).

This whole thing just seems utterly ridiculous.

39A is a national historic registry list site. I don't see them tearing it out to put in a new tower and pad no matter how cool this looks.
