I wish they would change the view on the webcams so we can watch the STS-116 boosters being taken on a day out.

you have streaming video feeds?

And so do you now.....click here:

oh, THAT page...that's already on my favorites list. i got neat pix from it! it's pretty handy!  :) what they need to do is bring back the live real-time video from the OTV cameras.

Yes, but Robert, what we really want to know is who won the race of the crawlers! Looks like Fritz had a healthy lead ;)

Expect Atlantis to move into High Bay 2 as the STS-116 stack of MLP-1 and half the left SRB remains in High Bay 3 due to a Crawler breakdown earlier today: http://www.floridatoday.com/floridatoday/blogs/spaceteam/2006/08/shuttle-crawler-complications.html

When is the next meeting regarding rollback?  The latest updates on Ernesto have it staying a tropical storm.  Maybe they can leave Atlantis on the pad.

Man, the news is making this a big joke. I saw some this morning poking at this mission not flying, etc.

Nothing on the schedule. We're monitoring internal memo traffic, as there's "always meetings". No change of plan as of yet.

Currently, 10am rollback tomorrow...and they are trying to work on an earlier time.

I think this is the first time this has happened in NASA history since the time they had to roll back the very first Saturn V rocket from the pad due to a hurricane. (Think it was 501 or something)

Since what happened? A rollback due to a hurricane or tropical storm? If so, its happened four times during the shuttle program. For the details, see our update from 8:48 a.m. CDT this morning:

One of the big drawbacks of having a vertically integrated launch system.  Takes a LONG time to get to your storm shelter.

Wow, that was quick removing the SRB water bags, only a couple of hours.
Also kind of interesting that they haven't reinstalled a lot of the safety rails/barracades yet.

Note all the extra 'stuff' that's been lifted back up on to the MLP. Anyone know what all the temporary portable sheds are for?
