Cho Gwang-rae, the president of KARI, pledged that it would spare no efforts to successfully build rocket engines for the KSLV-ll with domestic technology by December next year and to launch the three-stage, 300-ton rocket into space by 2020.
The KARI said it has successfully established test facilities for a rocket engine. It hopes to build space rockets and launch one by 2020.

Should have the same performance in surface to surface ballistic role. About 500 km range with the original warhead mass of about 1000 kg with gains in range with a lighter warhead. Really doubt they have terminal guidance with this chimera.

GOHEUNG, South Korea, Sept 6 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's aerospace institute showcased its locally developed booster engine on Thursday, part of a long-term effort to produce the Korea Space Launch Vehicle-2 (KSLV-2), a three-stage indigenous rocket.The rocket, carrying a locally made 75-ton engine, is set to be launched on Oct. 25 from the Naro Space Center in Goheung, South Jeolla Province, the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) said.
