So they have dropped two launches? Blok 48S and 49? And 47 has become a solo launch 47S.

Also to note that one reason for the GLONASS-K was that they could be launched on smaller rockets; two on a Soyuz or six on a Proton. However Soyuz carries just one and the above indicates just three are to be carried by each Proton.

Proton-M for blok 54
http://www.zakupki.gov.ru/pgz/public/action/orders/info/common_info/show?notificationId=3232479

Proton-M for blok K5?
http://www.zakupki.gov.ru/pgz/public/action/orders/info/common_info/show?notificationId=5481090

info different from your link that I am looking at just shows Proton-M for blok K5? as Blok K5.

It just says Proton-M for GLONASS in 2015… can’t see any ‘blok’ number.

One of my fav. topics which I'm following it since I was in my UG Electrical Engineering school (1990-94). I learned a lot once I moved to the US. Here's the GLONASS status URL which I regularly follow:

http://www.glonass-ianc.rsa.ru/en/GLONASS/

I'll update here regularly :)

So they have dropped two launches? Blok 48S and 49? And 47 has become a solo launch 47S.

The original planned Proton GLONASS triplet launches were?
2012 - blok 47
2013 - blok 49
2014 - blok 51
2015 - blok 54

With Soyuz solo launches being 48С, 50С, 52С, 53С…

http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=26990.msg893387#msg893387
http://novosti-kosmonavtiki.ru/forum/messages/forum12/topic1452/message930440/#message930440

Then blok 51 was moved from 2014 to 2013.

http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=26990.msg971824#msg971824

The previous Soyuz launch was blok 47С? The next Proton launch is also blok 47? Should it be 51? Or 47С in error?

According to the Glonass article from Wikipedia, all Glonass-M satellites will be deployed by the end of 2017, which will be followed by the launches of Glonass-K satellite until 2015; by then, Glonass-KM satellites will be launched, and those satellites will broadcast as many as 13 FDMA and CMDA signals (some of them are still in design phase...).

There are three new contracts between Roskosmos and TsENKI, for the launch of GLONASS satellites by Soyuz rocket. Launch campaign referred to as S4 is dated to the end of 2017, S5 and S6 for 2018.

Contract № 924-С393/16/143
http://www.zakupki.gov.ru/epz/contract/contractCard/common-info.html?reestrNumber=4770238802716000100

Contract № 924-С395/16/145
http://www.zakupki.gov.ru/epz/contract/contractCard/common-info.html?reestrNumber=4770238802716000097

Contract № 924-С394/16/146
http://www.zakupki.gov.ru/epz/contract/contractCard/common-info.html?reestrNumber=4770238802716000096

S3 is the next to go up. Latest ammendment to that contract is dated to the 10th December 2016.

It looks like one of the contracts for the manufacture of Proton rockets, to launch GLONASS satellites, has been cancelled? This was for three rockets, one in 2017 and two in 2018.

Proton-M №53543 flew with upper stage DM-03 №2L. Three contracts are known for the rocket, upper stage and fairing.
http://www.sudact.ru/arbitral/doc/TFEsv45Gx7dh/

The next rocket to go up is Proton-M №53545 with upper stage DM-03 №3L, but I am not sure where it came from.
http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=17568.msg1503263#msg1503263

As DM-03 №4L is also manufactured for GLONASS, there might be another phase I Proton-M out there for it.
http://novosti-kosmonavtiki.ru/forum/messages/forum13/topic4533/message792396/#message792396

Proton-M №93559 is the 1st Roskosmos rocket for GLONASS.

So that leaves one further rocket?

The Glonass constellation has ended operations on two of the "inactive" satellites. One was listed as a spare and the other as "under check by the SPC" until august 28.

Glonass coverage will be sub-optimal at least until the sat that will launch on september 22 become active... And then, there will be no spares. Note that at year's end, 6 of the 23-24 active sats will be older than 10 years.

Not in space but there are six GLONASS-M spares on the ground, which can be launched on demand (http://gpsworld.com/glonass-m-satellite-shipped-to-cosmodrome-for-launch/).

Yes of course I meant in orbit spares.

In-demand launch is maybe the appropriate term, but not necessarely the fastest system to cover the constellation capability. Coverage is 23/24 sats since early july, launch will happend end of september and service about a month later.

Why is the constellation kept with no on-orbit spares (which will prompt some level of disruption to the service every time a sat fails)? Is the disruption too small to be of importance and preferable to having unneeded sats degrading in space? Or is it just a cash problem? Maybe some twisted political issue?

Sept. 22: A Soyuz-2-1b/Fregat-M rocket to launch the GLONASS-M No. 52 satellite from Plesetsk for Russia's global satellite navigation network, GLONASS. The spacecraft was built by ISS Reshetnev based in Zheleznogorsk, Russia, more than two years prior its launch and put in storage to serve as a spare vehicle. The launch of GLONASS-M No. 52 was earlier planned for Sept. 6, 2017, but in July 2017, it was postponed to Sept. 22 of the same year. On Aug. 25, 2017, ISS Reshetnev announced that GLONASS M No. 52 had been air-shipped to Plesetsk aboard an Il-76 transport plane. At the time, the company still had six GLONASS-M satellites in stand-by mode on the ground for the replenishment of the GLONASS constellation on the "as-needed" basis.

"And then, there will be no spares."

Not in space but there are six GLONASS-M spares on the ground, which can be launched on demand (http://gpsworld.com/glonass-m-satellite-shipped-to-cosmodrome-for-launch/).

After GLONASS-M is flown out GLONASS-K2 and then GLONASS-KM will be flown instead in that order.

There is a tender, I think about the storage of the remaining GLONASS-M, and transportation to the launch site. Only Plesetsk is mentioned?

Think I understand. At that point there was seven GLONASS-M remaining.

That contract was signed in December 2017, item 1 covered the shipment of the final GLONASS-M to Plesetsk.

There is a contract still open for the ones before.

In December 2013 a contract was placed for the shipment of GLONASS-M satellites to the launch sites.
http://www.zakupki.gov.ru/epz/contract/contractCard/common-info.html?reestrNumber=0173100007013000367
The contract shows six deliveries:-
1. Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled 2013-2014, 10,345,000 ruble
2. Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled   2014, 11,029,900 ruble
3. Three GLONASS-M to Baikonur, scheduled 2013-2014, 30,731,100 ruble
4. Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled 2014-2015, 11,614,600 ruble
5. Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled 2014-2015, 11,614,600 ruble
6. Three GLONASS-M to Baikonur, scheduled 2014-2015, 32,360,400 ruble

Items 1 and 2 were completed in 2014. So I think those would be Kosmos-2494 launched in March 2014, and Kosmos-2500 launched June 2014?

In December 2014 the contract was amended. Item 3 was pushed out to 2015.
3. Three GLONASS-M to Baikonur, scheduled 2013-2015, 30,731,100 ruble
4. Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled 2014-2015, 11,614,600 ruble
5. Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled 2014-2015, 11,614,600 ruble
6. Three GLONASS-M to Baikonur, scheduled 2014-2015, 32,360,400 ruble

Item 4 was completed in 2015. Kosmos-2514 launched in February 2016?

In November 2015 the contract was further amended. All remaining dates were pushed out to 2016.
3. Three GLONASS-M to Baikonur, scheduled 2013-2016, 30,731,100 ruble
5. Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled 2014-2016, 11,614,600 ruble
6. Three GLONASS-M to Baikonur, scheduled 2014-2016, 32,360,400 ruble

Item 5 was completed in 2016. Kosmos-2516 launched in May 2016?

In December 2016 one Baikonur group was split into three single launches. All dates pushed out another year.
3.1 Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled 2013-2017, 10,243,700 ruble
3.2 Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled 2013-2017, 10,243,700 ruble
3.3 Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled 2013-2017, 10,243,700 ruble
6. Three GLONASS-M to Baikonur, scheduled 2014-2017, 32,360,400 ruble

Item 3.1 was completed in 2017. Kosmos-2522 launched in September 2017?

In December 2017, all dates pushed out again.
3.2 Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled 2013-2018, 10,243,700 ruble
3.3 Single GLONASS-M to Plesetsk, scheduled 2013-2018, 10,243,700 ruble
6. Three GLONASS-M to Baikonur, scheduled 2014-2018, 32,360,400 ruble

Cross-post to continue discussion here:
How many Glonass-M satellites and launches remain?  And when?

I see a single launch scheduled for October 2018 in this thread, as of the most recent revision.

I've read mention of differing numbers of satellites satellites still to be launched in different sources.  If I use the most expansive list I see model numbers: 757, 758, 759, 760, and 761.

Is a final Proton-M/Blok DM-03 triplet launch still planned for, or is it cancelled?

the most recent launch the payload was originally assigned to the triplet launch along with 757 and 758,
All remaining Glonass-M are to be flown this year per statements by the manufacturer and others this earlier year. Most/all have already shipped from the manufacturer during the first 2 quarters of 2018.

And:
Latest I could find here:-
https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=30175.msg1803278#msg1803278

Summing this all up, and seeking correction if I'm wrong...

We should could (eventually) see up to 5 more Glonass-M satellites launched:

2 more "singlet" launches on Soyuz 2-1b/Fregat-M from Plesetsk,
And 1 more triplet launch on Proton-M/DM-03 from Baikonur.

And:
AFAIU, the GLONASS M launches are currently "on need for replacement".
I.e., just like this launch: as old satellite fails they launch replacement.
In other words, they do not plan to maintain orbital spares (well, at least this is what I heard).

With respect to triplet launch by Proton - they have this as an option for a case of multiple failures in a short period.
So it is not canceled in a strict sense, however it may never happen.

And finally there is a launch of GLONASS K1 scheduled for late 2018, although it's unclear if the sat will be ready.

If the Glonass-K1 model satellites are further delayed, would the Glonass constellation continue to be supplemented by the remaining Glonass-M satellites, via single launches?  If necessary, to depletion?

What would be the fate of any Glonass-M satellites that aren't launched?

Museum like predecessors and the current plan is to launch all of them

By my count, there are four more Glonass-M satellites remaining on the ground, that will most likely launched individually by Soyuz 2-1b/Fregat-M from Plesetsk: 758, 759, 760, 761.

Correct?

Yes. But numbers with digit 7 mean system numbers (which will assign to satellites only after launch), not factory numbers. So better to use 58, 59, 60 and 61 numbers.

Not launch related, but about two Glonass satellites

Cross-post; would this refer to the Glonass-K2 series?
According to this, there is one Glonass-K1 launch later this year.  Two K1 satellites were launched earlier this decade.:

Here are a lot of information about the planned launches of GLONASS satellites in the next years.
In 2019 are planned 3 Glonass-M, 1 K and 1 K2.
In 2020 1 M(the last M), 3 K and 1 K2.
In 2021 3 K.
I will not include the plans for the next years, because I think the plan will be changed.

MOSCOW, May 8. /TASS/. The first launch of the Glonass satellites with the Angara carrier rocket is planned for 2024, according to the Strategy of GLONASS Development until 2030.

"The first launch of two Glonass-K2 spacecraft with the Angara rocket will take place in the first quarter of 2024. Angara will also deliver two satellites to the orbit in the third and fourth quarter of 2025 each," the document said.

In 2024-2032, 18 Glonass-K2 satellites will be delivered to the orbit by nine Angara carrier rockets.

Russian satellite Glonass-K2 is a modernized version of Glonass-K. It will be able to transmit nine navigation signals. The satellite's mass will be around 1,800 kg (twice as much as that of Glonass-K1).

MOSCOW, May 9th. / Tass /. Nearly 50 satellites of the GLONASS navigation system are planned to be launched before the end of 2033. This is stated in the System Development Strategy until 2033, which is at the disposal of TASS.

In particular, in the years 2019-2020, 10 satellites of the system should go on Soyuz-2 launch vehicles. From 2024, the spacecraft will launch into space not only on the Soyuz missiles, but also on the heavy version of the Angara launch vehicle. In total, from 2024 to 2034, nine Angara-A5 rocket launches with navigation system satellites are planned.

According to the strategy, the Soyuz missiles will be delivered into space by one satellite of the system, while the Angara will deliver two vehicles each. According to the materials, the possibility of using Proton missiles for future launches of the GLONASS system is no longer foreseen.

A recent tender has been issued for three launches of Soyuz rockets with GLONASS-M 14Ф113 satellites. Looks like Proton-M will not be used for the final three.

The authorities will postpone the launch of serial production of Glonass-K satellites

For them, there are not enough imported parts, the supplies of which are limited by sanctions, learned RBC

Moscow. June 25th. INTERFAX.RU - The government can freeze funding for the mass production of Glonass-K satellites, since they lack imported parts, RBC learned . The site refers to the opinion of the Accounts Chamber on the draft amendments to the federal budget for 2019.

It is impossible to assemble these satellites and produce ground-based control complexes "due to restrictions on the supply of foreign-made electronic components and the impossibility of their operational replacement," the document says.

In this regard, in 2019, budget expenditures under the federal targeted program (FTP) “Maintaining, developing and using the Glonass system for 2012–2020” will be reduced by 12.9 billion rubles. 6.9 billion rubles from the reduced funds will be transferred to Roskosmos, another 6 billion rubles to the Ministry of Defense for the state program "Space Activity of Russia".

At the same time, expenditures on other measures of the Federal Program for the Development of Glonass will be increased by 7.05 billion rubles. A part of this money will be used to create an "insurance reserve of the electronic component base of foreign production, including for the manufacture of 11 Glonass-K2 spacecraft".

“The program of replenishment and modernization of the orbital grouping is preserved. There is an internal redistribution of funds for domestic development work with a view to import substitution,” commented RBC in the office of Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov.

The Glonass-K2 satellites are a modified version of the third-generation Glonass-K devices (the first generation is Glonass, the second generation is Glonass-M).

The development strategy of this satellite network envisages that the last Glonass-M satellite will be launched in 2020, the last Glonass-K satellite in 2023. In the orbital grouping, there are now two Glonass-K satellites, the launch of the third is postponed due to the lack of components.

Components for "Glonass" came under the sanctions of the European Union and the United States as parts for dual-use systems, since "Glonass" can be used for military purposes.

In the summer of 2018, the Interfax source in the rocket and space industry said that when creating new Glonass-K satellites, problems arose when importing electronic components. In the Glonass-M satellites there were 75-80% of Western components.

In 2019–2033, it is planned to launch four Glonass-M satellites, nine Glonass-K and 33 Glonass-K2.
In 2019, three Glonass-Ms and one Glonass-K and Glonass-K2 are to be put into orbit, in 2020 one Glonass-M, three Glonass-Ks and one Glonass К2 ", in 2021 - three" Glonass-K ", in 2022 - one each" Glonass-K "and" Glonass-K2 ". In 2023 it is planned to launch one Glonass-K and Glonass-K2, in 2024 four Glonass-K2, in 2025 six Glonass-K2, in 2026 two Glonass-K2 ".
In 2029, it is planned to launch three Glonass-K2, in 2030 - seven Glonass-K2, in 2031 - three Glonass-K2, in 2032 - two Glonass-K2, in 2033 - two "Glonassa-K2".
In 2025, it is planned to completely switch to the use of new-generation Glonass-K and Glonass-K2 satellites, which differ from the previous-generation Glonass-M satellites by the large number of emitted navigation signals.
In addition, in the years 2023-2025, the Glonass-V high-orbit navigation satellites will be added to the GLONASS system in order to improve the accuracy of the GLONASS system.

In the meantime, the other Glonass-M launches disappeared from the 2019 schedule.
Where does this information come from?
https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=26990.msg1965018#msg1965018

Since August 1, Glonass-M 717 is in maintenance. The oldest Glonass-M in the constellation.
There was a small change of the orbit. (probably at the time of failure)
The orbital period of 717 changed from 675.7 min to 676.2 min.
If no engine use was made, intentional or not, then I see black.

Yes, 742 fell silent between 10 and 11 (Glonass time) yesterday.
I did not want to post the bad news immediately.
717 continues to drift away from his working point, I think dead

I believe Glonass M-717 will soon be replaced by a new Glonass-M.

The current newspaper of ISS-Reshetnev

page 4, Google translate

Quote
Outside, the Glonass-M satellite from the ground reserve will replace the long-lived spacecraft in orbit. The GLONASS orbital group will be updated by the next Glonass-M satellite. It will replace the spacecraft in orbit, which has served almost twice as much as the stipulated term - about thirteen years instead of seven.
.....
When Glonass-M leaves the ground reserve, two more brothers will remain in custody at ISS. In the meantime, the company continues to work on the GLONASS-K and GLONASS-K2 devices. Their launches are also just around the corner.

Will this be satellite No. 59?  (This and Nos. 60 and 61 should be the remaining "stock.")

Four weeks no signal from Glonass M 742. I think he is dead.

The death of Glonass M 717 is more or less officially.
It is remarkable, that the orbital period in the Glonass ephemeris for 717 (sat no.10) does not fit the orbital period according to NORAD TLE.
Both are updated regularly.
https://www.glonass-iac.ru/en/GLONASS/ephemeris.php
https://www.n2yo.com/satellite/?s=29671

22 satellites in operation.
Glonass M 733 probably without L2 signal.

Reserve satellite Glonass M 723 maneuvered.
Currently at slot 12, the orbit has been lowered, probably drifting to slot 10 (Glonass M 717)

The commissioning of 723 is obviously already started. He is still next to slot 12.
I think, he will transmit on a extra channel as a "pseudo no.10" during the drift.
The drift of 723 is currently very slow. duration to Slot 10 4 months or so, fuel saving?

Glonass-M 723 is now in operation. In almanac as satellite no. 10, physically between slot 12 and 11, crawls slowly to slot 10. Probably only L1 signal (since 2016).

We will see. The need is great.
In addition to 717 and 742, on November 16 Glonass M 731 and today Glonass M 735 failed.
731 and 735 are in the plane 3. The launch was in March 2010.

The launch of the Glonass-M backup satellite, which will have to replace a similar spacecraft with system number 735 in space, is scheduled for February 5 or 12, ”the agency’s source said.

Again a Glonass-M as replacement. (the second to last)
When does the first Glonass-K satellite launch with import replacement components?
How will that work?

We want "new news!" There's a large gap between  wanting and having timely updates, and the Russian government fills that gap.

FYI for our readers, the most recent news can be months old. My bold.

The source told about the expected replenishment of the orbital group of the GLONASS system in 2021

MOSCOW, June 18 - RIA Novosti. The orbital grouping of the Russian global navigation system GLONASS will be replenished with two or four satellites in 2021, a source in the rocket and space industry told RIA Novosti.
"They are preparing to launch (in 2021) from two to four devices," the source said.

The source did not rule out that the next satellite, which will be launched into space, will be the last "Glonass-M" with number 61.

Tell us which satellites will join the GLONASS constellation in the near future?

- This year, our enterprise will complete the manufacture of three Glonass-K spacecraft, but their launch will be carried out only when necessary. Let me explain: 23 devices are currently operating in the GLONASS system, covering all the needs of customers. In addition, one device "Glonass-K" is in flight tests and will enter service in a few months. Accordingly, the need to launch a new satellite will come only after the failure of one of the spacecraft operating in space. This is the "operational necessity".

Among the plans for the next year we have the launch of the first device "Glonass-K2". We are continuously working on preparing it for launch, but unfortunately, questions arose about the work of onboard mathematics. For development work on a new satellite, this is a common situation that cannot be predicted in any way. Unlike the Glonass-K satellites and the Glonass-M devices of the previous generation, the new Glonass-K2 is a multifunctional device, so it becomes necessary to adjust the work of internal mathematics with all systems. The more instruments, the more combinations you need to work out. The device itself is assembled, we will withstand the obligations for its manufacture by the end of the year.

Earlier it was reported that the cost of new satellites "Glonass-K2" will be twice as high as that of their predecessors - "Glonass-K". Why is that? Is it connected with the installation of additional equipment on the satellite, the import substitution program?
- There is a complex of reasons. First, the first Glonass-K2 are being assembled on a foreign component base. The dollar has doubled. The cost of import-independent devices, which will go from 2026, in turn, requires redesign work. Secondly, Glonass-K2 differs from its predecessors in the presence of additional equipment. He is even physically one and a half times heavier. Thirdly, the prices for components have increased. Take the deflator 5% per year and multiply it by 10 years that have passed since the launch of the first Glonass-K. Just by multiplying the deflator, you will already get a twofold increase. That is, the doubling that has taken place is an absolutely natural process.

- The last GLONASS satellite of the previous generation, Glonass-M, has not been launched into orbit, which this year is ending its ground storage period.

- We have extended the storage period until the end of this year and will extend, if necessary, until the middle of next. Considering that our similar devices are guaranteed to work for one and a half terms, we are absolutely sure that this device will also work after the launch of the warranty period of seven years.

- Has the work begun on the creation of satellites for the highly elliptical segment of GLONASS?

- The creation of the segment is included in the GLONASS subprogram of the Space Activities of Russia until 2030 program. A contract is being prepared, tactical and technical requirements for the system and spacecraft are being written. We expect that funding for the work will begin this year.

- Do you plan to carry out any work on the Small GLONASS project, small and cheap navigation satellites?

- In the previously announced subprogram, research work on the creation of a platform for a small navigation apparatus is spelled out. Work on this topic also begins this year.

So no need for new satellites in the constellation? ??? Only 23 satellites in operation, one too few.
Of these 23, Glonass-M 723 was put into reserve twice and later had to replace another satellite.
Likewise, Glonass-M 735 urgently had to be replaced by 760, later 735 had to replace 731.
Why were the 723 and 735 replaced earlier and now there is no longer that need?

In addition, 3 Glonass-M satellites no longer send L2 navigation signals.
The 723 and 733 have had this problem for a number of years and in December 2020 the L2 signal also failed on 732.

"onboard mathematics"?
Does this mean the satellite's computer?

Maybe Mr. Testoedov is counting the Glonass-K undergoing continuing tests as number 24?  Assuming all will go well with said tests?

It's probably a more palatable statement from him for internal consumption, than to say "We're one short, and a few more are marginal at best."

Well, Glonass-K 15L (705) was originally supposed to replace the half-dead 723 on slot 10. Not the first attempt.
When the young 753 collapsed on slot 11, it became 705 redirected there. Glonass no.11 is not usable since 11 months.

My opinion:
So you would have had to launch another satellite (Glonass-M 61L / 761), perhaps between slot 10 and 11 and put it into operation there as number 11. There are 2 free channels so it does not disturb the other satellites.
If Glonass-K 705 is ready one day, it will take over number 11. Glonass-M 761 would be moved to slot 10 and will finally replace 723.

The fact that Glonass-M 61L is held on the ground instead can only mean that Glonass-K 705 and thus its successors are still not ready for use. Software?
The only ready-to-use replacement satellite should still be saved.

Glonass-K 15L (705), slot 11 is officially "In flight tests phase". In fact, 705 is functional and working (I see it on my mobile and geodetic corrections are sent (for all 24 slots)).
My opinion:
705 will switch to "in operation" mode at the end of December / beginning of January.
Glonass-M 61L will not launch until one of the current Glonass fails.
It will be more interesting in which slot will be launched the new Glonass-K2 13L (when it eliminates technical problems). I would send it between slot 19 and 20, where the two oldest Glonass are.

For a few days there have been no signals from Glonass-M 736 (slot 16).
The satellite was launched in 2010 together with the 737 and 738.
Glonass-M 736 is or was (?) the last of these 3 in operation.
In addition, the very old 721 (slot 13) was in maintenance this week, but is working again.
Since yesterday, the Glonass-M 730 (slot 1) is temporarily in maintenance.
Glonass-K 705 is still in flight tests.

The current plan is to launch the first Glonass-K2 satellite in the second quarter of 2022 followed by the second Glonass-K2 satellite in the following quarter. It was also added that the final Glonass-M satellite currently in reserve will most likely be launched in the first quarter.

Only 21 satellites usable.
The time for the end of maintenance Glonass-M 730 is exceeded. But he lives, will work again, I think.
Glonass M 736 is still silent. Not good.

What is the difference between Glonass-K and Glonass-K2?
The Glonass-K2 differs from the Glonass-K in having CDMA signals, and improved accuracy, but also in being 70% heavier and having 170% more power.

Glonass-M 721 (plane 2, launched Christmas 2007) has been under maintenance since July 30th.
It is transmitting again, but currently only the L1 signal.
We will see whether it can be put back into operation without L2.
If not, a replacement will have to be launched.
Also only the L1 signal is transmitted by 721's sister satellite 723 and the 733 (2009) in plane 1 and the 732 (2010) in plane 3.

The Glonass M 721 signal is healthy again. (source Galmon.eu and my phone)
but now only L1 signal, according to Galmon

After Glonass-M 721 went back into operation without L2 during the week, Glonass-M 723 is now undergoing maintenance.
Since it has also only been sending L1 signals from 2016, there is no GNSS monitoring (Russian, DLR, others?).
So little can be said about its health. Normally, 2 replacement satellites would be necessary in plane 2.

Glonass M 723 is back in operation.
Whenever this satellite was to be replaced in the past, something went wrong or another satellite failed.
Slots 11 -> 12 -> 10
Proton launch failure ... Glonass-M 737 failure ...717 lost ...753 failure.
