And ASP Randy Bresnik is working on the flight deck with the OTC.  Preparing the seats for flight crew ingress.

I just discovered that the uppermost cylinder section of the left hand booster flew on STS-1. First and last flight. Very appropriate!

A good reminder for people to read the thread from page 1 and not just jump in ;)

History of the booster cases being noted. Chris G has the full history rundown on that here:
http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=25865.0

Amazing that part of STS-1 is flying on the last mission.

Did they play the Bear McCreary's fanfare (http://www.bearmccreary.com/blog/?p=6953) when the coverage started?

Now you all know what to get me for Christmas ;)

No, but he's so epic, I can't say enough. His work on BSG was outstanding.

Angie Brewer in with George Diller.  "What's been different this flow?"

Angie:  This is the second last flow of Atlantis.  STS-135 was originally STS-335 and be LON for -134 if it needed it.  Approval to fly was a great achievement.
