Author Topic: STS-134: Personal Photos (Pre-launch to post-landing) Thread  (Read 90984 times)

Setting up a thread specific to personal photos surrounding STS-134, partly because the viewing thread is now a monster and the below link was sent to me....which includes high VIP access shots.

Feel free to attach selected photos you've taken (providing they aren't massive file sizes), embed (again, only selective, no more than two per post and not "wider" than the page size) or link up to your personal album.

For L2 members, the L2 STS-134 Special already has a huge collection of exclusive images - use:

Remember, two photos per post, otherwise we may end up with a massive page that takes a year to load ;)

Oh WOW, yes! I can just imagine someone trying to reverse that thing into a parking space - you'd need to buy three tickets if the wings were deployed! :D

I know your pictures from A.net.
They are amazing and of such great quality.

I love the Shuttle truck too!
I wonder if an aircraft could be built that would look exactly like a Space Shuttle? Not a Space plane. Just an airplane.

Sarah,

Could you please tell us a bit more about the shuttle truck? :) Possibly the company that owns it, or something like that. I couldn't make out the name on the door.

I too love the truck!! We need to make it the official NSF truck. Chris and Phil can drive it to the press events.

Many thanks for any info you can give us and thanks to everyone for sharing your photos.  :)

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. It's been a real pleasure having the opportunity to shoot the shuttle from so close. Hopefully I will have many more to share soon.

I seem to vaguely remember seeing it on the 29th somewhere, but I can't for the life of me remember where.  Maybe at the KSCVC near the rocket garden or the entrance?  I have to admit I wasn't quite aware during those early morning hours.

I'd love that opportunity, too... but sadly I know that my photos wouldn't be anywhere close to the quality of yours.  Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the info. I tried to find the owners but it was just sitting there all by itself with no one around it.

It was sitting at the KSCVC between the grandstands and the IMAX theater.
