Request for Starlink state vector data
« on: 07/27/2023 01:23 pm »
Hello guys,

this is my first time posting in this forum, therefore please let me know if this is not the place for this post.

For my master's thesis I am developing an algorithmn that detects maneuvers out of state vector ephemerides. As an example at the end of the thesis I want to have  a look at possible changes in the maneuvering frequency of starlink satellites in the last few years. I want to see, if there is an increase in the frequency, due to more collision avoidance maneuvers.

The starlink state vector ephimerides are published daily in the space track "Public Files" section (https://www.space-track.org/#publicFiles) but they are only up for a day. Therefore I wanted to ask, if anyone has downloaded them and might be able to provide them? Or if anyone knows another way to get that data? I would be interested in all data from 2022 or even more recent.

Thank you very much for your help!

Would it be an option to contact space-track.com and request access to historic data for research purposes?

See https://www.space-track.org/documentation#/odr

They have a form and an email contact.

CelesTrak has the historical data and has a reasonable API.

E.g. the attached is for 2023-151A from Starlink-112 / Group 6-9.
