🌟 Galactic Spotlight: Keisha Schahaff, Astronaut 012.

Keisha's fascination with the skies above began as far back as she can remember. Since then, she has held on to her dream of venturing into space, even when it seemed impossible for someone from her small island nation of Antigua & Barbuda. On August 10, she'll realized her dream on #Galactic02 and make history alongside her daughter as the first astronauts from the Caribbean.

Meet Keisha and join her journey. Watch the livestream at virgingalactic.com

What 'make history'?

One of the passengers on the upcoming space flight holds the distinction of being the second youngest person to ever travel to space, and her mother will be accompanying her. This element of the journey may be considered a historic moment.

"remove the barriers that once existed to becoming an astronaut"

What like years of study and Degrees?  Years of testing and research and writing thesis' in support of a STEM field?  Sacrificing and serving in the military to gain flight test experience?  They haven't removed deep pockets yet.  ::)

It's the first Galactic flight with an even serial number.

Also the first ever to be launched in the second half of 2023.

Well there's the U.S military definition  - 50 miles.
Or the internationally recognised definition  - 100 km.
Which would you pick as the standard?

I think 50 miles (80 km) is where the atmosphere thins out almost completely whereas 62 miles (100 km) is high enough to make several Earth orbits without falling back to Earth.

So, I don’t think there’s a standard. It’s two edges of space existing at once, each with a different context.
