Although the book Myasishchev M-4 and 3M: The First Soviet Strategic Jet Bomber is in most respects outside the scope of this forum because many chapters of this book deal with design, development, testing, production, and operational career of the M-4 strategic bomber family (including the 3M/M-6), I should note that Chapter 6 of this volume is devoted exclusively to the VM-T variant of the 3M/M-6 for carrying the Buran and other space-related payloads to the Baikonur Cosmodrome, with mention of proposed 3M-based space launch platforms such as the 3M-T outsized cargo transporter aircraft and 3M2 superheavy transport.
