Speed of mobile transporter for N1 rocket
« on: 11/22/2022 03:34 am »
We know that the crawler transporters used to transport the Saturn V, Space Shuttle, Ares 1, and now SLS are designed to travel at a speed of only 1 mile per hour. However, the N1 was transported to the launch facility in Baikonur by a rail-based mobile transporter in horizontal rather than vertical position. What was the top speed of the rail-based mobile transport used for transporting the N1 to the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

Walking speed, like all the other Russian rockets
