So one of my friends is the CTO(chief technology officer) and he was talking to me about what they are building I didn’t write anything down but it sounds like they are building a sounding rocket and multiple small satellites, the rocket sounds like it’s already having test hardware built and for the satellites they are working on the frame from what he told me if you have any questions put them here and I will ask him and see If they have media accounts (hopefully I put this in the right place mods)

I wouldn't know if it's in the right place because you've told us basically nothing.

Well I have more info on there satellite now so I can share that. The first satellite will be a 3u smallsat being used as a test bed for two things a ion thruster and equipment for a orbital assembly satellite it will be launched on a spacex transporter mission or another launch vehicle in the 2022-2023 time, the rocket they are working doesn’t seem to be that far in development so we will see how that plans out. I also found there Twitter (@RoboticsKrypton ) in my personal opinion it’s to late in the game to build a launch vehicle but I feel like satellite building is just getting started

So they're in California, and they're trying to fill out key positions on their team with volunteers.

How old is the CTO? From the website, company twitter and his own twitter the whole thing genuinely seems like it's being put together by 15 year olds.
EDIT: I don't want to link directly given it's some kid's personal account, but found a tweet on the CTO's twitter talking about 'kids my age' being 14-15. This is a bunch of teenagers LARPing a rocket company.
EDITEDIT: the 'CTO' has initials KB and twitter account name ending in 2. I strongly suspect 'kb2' is the same person talking about himself in the third person.
