The spacecraft is three-axis stabilized using the CAST968 satellite platform. The spacecraft is being developed by the DFH (Dongfanghong Satellite Corporation Ltd.), a spin-off company of CASC (China Aerospace Science &Technology Corporation), Beijing, China.
The Chinese rocket engineers would appear to be in several stages of recovery from four different partial or full launch failures of four launch vehicles:CZ-4C failure, Aug. 31, 2016CZ-2D partial launch failure, Dec. 28, 2016CZ-3B/G2 partial launch failure, June 18, 2017CZ-5 failure, July 2, 2017

SaudiSat-5A and -5B are the second generation of Saudi-made Earth observation satellites, replacing the SaudiSat-2 (launched in 2004) and SaudiSat-3 (launched in 2007) remote sensing satellites that were also manufactured by KACST, SpaceWatch.Global reports.The two 200 kg high-resolution Earth observation satellites are to be launched later this year from China, via a Long March 2D launch vehicle from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in the Gobi Desert.
Launch will be on Nov 1st.
