This photo showing satellite engineers (for both FY-4A and the mysterious sat flying late this month) visiting nearby villages in one of China's poorest regions leaves no doubt as to the identity of the latter satellite.  ;)

A State of XSLC Pads Update:
LC1: LC1 continues to have construction between launches for an unknown reason.
LC2: A CZ-3B family rocket is currently being stacked at LC2 for TJS-2.
LC3: FY-4A's CZ-3B/G2 is fully stacked on LC3.

Isn't LC3 the new designation for the reconstructed LC1?

LC3 is right next to LC1. If you go on Google Earth you will find there are three pads roughly in a triangle.

Hm, honestly, i can not spot a third launch pad on Google maps. And our Xichang thread seems to indicate that LC3 is the rebuilt LC1.

My understanding is that Pad 1 was  to be built at a location called Qinggangba about 2 kilometers away from Pad 2 and 3 (see http://www.go-taikonauts.com/images/newsletters_PDF/GoTaikonauts8.pdf and the same was told by the member miom70 in https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=7918.0;all). The pad was originally intended for the Shuguang manned space program but due to the cancelation the pad was never built and I have doubts that the same designation was reused for another pad.

Speaking of TJS-2, rumors are that SAST is the satellite contractor - which would mean it will be their first geostationary comsat (that is, if it really functions as its public name suggests *ahem*  ;) :-X)

Well that sure would be an anticlimactic end to 2016.

First it was November Nightmare (2013), now it's January Knot.  ~150 payloads for the month (if you throw in the ISS deployments as well)

They are still in effect right now - will watch out if the rumors turned out to be incorrect.

Well this is a fun one. If they do launch today, China takes the lead in the 2016 launch count!
