I'm just glad I live in the same time zone as LC-39A, that way I can ignore all the ET, EDT, EST, GMT time zone confusion in the SpaceX threads!

Go EDT!!!!

A couple attached. Click the link for the rest and in hi res.

Good man as he was asking us what we wanted, etc.
If you haven't checked out these pics you should. Really gorgeous and very high res... I just got a couple new desktop backgrounds....

Well the change works for me. I teach at a Uni, and have been asking my students about whether they knew anything about SpaceX, many of them did, and many knew about the launch. Which is excellent!!!!

But the original time corresponded to 8am Australia time, which was when I had an 8am lecture.

Although, I did develop a backup plan, which was to have the spaceX launch stream running in the bottom right hand corner of a screen while I droned on about the intricacies of programming in different languages - which a satisfying number of students thought was a very good idea . But now, its 9am Friday Aussie time, and I don't have a class until 11am - so I can zone out without haven't to focus on two things at once - hoorah!!

Launch Viewing for SpaceX SES-10

Watch the launch from Kennedy Space Center!

Witness liftoff from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39 as the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launches from LC-39A carrying the SES-10 communications satellite for SES. This is the first reuse of a recovered first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket. The Falcon 9 rocket’s reusable first stage will attempt a controlled landing on the autonomous spaceport drone ship (ASDS), Of Course I Still Love You, in the Atlantic Ocean.

Rocket Launch Location

Launch viewing opportunities for SES-10 are available at Apollo/Saturn V Center and the main visitor complex with bleacher seating and launch commentary. Special launch viewing/transportation tickets to Apollo/Saturn V Center are available for $20, in addition to daily admission. Tickets for Apollo/Saturn V Center are available online. The main visitor complex viewing area is accessible with daily admission only. Restrooms, dining and souvenirs are available at both viewing areas.

Special launch viewing/transportation ticket holders are transported by bus from the main visitor complex to special viewing areas at Kennedy Space Center. Visitors must have a daily admission ticket or annual pass in order to utilize launch viewing/transportation tickets. Since launch days often have many extra visitors, please allow time for travel, parking and entering the complex, including security bag search before boarding the bus for launch viewing. Arrive early to assure your viewing spot!

I couldn't be online for the start time, so I wasn't going to try this time.  But, I guess I'll take a low percentage shot anyway.  O-26

If more shotgun starts are contemplated for future games, I hope we can stagger the start times some.

Future start times to be decided with:
$ echo $(($RANDOM % 24)) UTC

or:

By subtracting 1 from a 24 sided die.

Or start the left half of the ASDS 12 hours before the right half.

I'm a little surprised this didn't raise the insurance rate. There are a whole lot of factors you can't test on a stand.
If they get this worked out in the next year, maybe they'll only need to build one booster for Boca Chica until they move up from one a month. Maybe two boosters in case Home Depot is closed the day they need to buy parts for refurbishment.

Will Home Depot take my Lowe's card?
