OK, has the 'Launch You Up' video been updated? Some of the CGI's seem newer.

OK, has the 'Launch You Up' video been updated? Some of the CGI's seem newer.

Some debate on L2 about whether this is actually a V1.2 video.  Rumors that internally this is referred to as 'Launch You up - Full Thrust'.  Others are simply calling it 'Launch You Up - Upgrade'.

Waiting for the official word from SpaceX.

Dearest friend rocket-scientists & makers,

Agreeing, as we all do, that SES-10 will be highly successful and the booster successfully return to OCISLY, what would you do with said booster?

Do you rip it to shreds to see how it's holding up?  Run it off to McGregor to fire until failure?  Smile, pat it on the head, and HIF it for another launch in a few months?

What say you?

I hope someone makes a school bus traversing the moon mockup photo in preparation for the FH demo mission. I'm sure there is some educational benefit to explaining to children that there is a school bus in orbit, just can't quite put my finger on it.

I'm a tiny bit glad the launch got bumped to the 29th, as I'd have not been able to watch it on the 27th. Fingers crossed it doesn't move again! :P

I tell ya, as a SpaceX fanboi, I have WAY more butterflies in my stomach over the SES-10 launch than I have for any other SpaceX event so far. It's such a "put up or shut up" moment, for NewSpace, for SpaceX, for F9, for economic reuse, and on and on. To me it's the most important launch since F1 finally achieved orbit all those years ago. I have great faith that 1021 will succeed in its second mission... But there's no sure thing. To echo Elon, here's hoping Fate smiles on SES-10 and that we have great need of a reusable party thread on the 29th!

I hope this isn't too serious for a party thread, but I'm still transitioning from lurker to participant and I didn't want to get moderated 😨

Welcome! And don't worry about getting moderated. I get moderated all the time, it doesn't hurt at all! :)

I even get moderated in the party thread... can't get much worse than that.

I'm not sure if this has been posted here or not, but I haven't seen it so....
I'll delete it if it's already up somewhere. It's over two years old.

I remember Dr Martin Cole using that slogan in a rather different context  :o

Shouldn't that be in the updates thread? Or is the update thread to serious for this SpaceX update?

I guess even SpaceX gets moderated on the update thread ;)

OCISLY, under tow by Elsbeth III, has left Port Canaveral it seems...  ???

"Webcam Never Named Here"... shows barge is missing...  :o
MarineTraffic.com shows Elsbeth III headed 117 at 3.7 knots... about 5 miles out right now...  ???

Looks like it's right on schedule...  8)

Looks like the party is getting underway...  :)

Just noticed the "Bird9" drawing has the tanks drawn with an... Un-common bulkhead design.

Throwing of rotten vegetables may now begin.

For the school bus, I have an idea what it might look like.

Also note... There are only two COPVs for the whole vehicle!  Clearly a huge improvement over the current design.  Could this really be leaked drawing of the vastly improved Bird 9B5?!!
