Spaceflightfans.cn lists Gaofen-3 02 on August 17th and Gaofen-3 03 on September 4th.
More particularly, the listing gives a launch window 06:00-08:00 July 17 BST.
BST - 8 hours = UTC
= 2200-2400 July 16 UTC.

These NOTAMs were posted on the 9ifly forum and corelate with a SSO launch from Taiyuan.

Seems to be of CZ-2D / CZ-4B family.
Is the new launch pad there active now?
This message reflects my personal opinion based on open sources of information.

I don’t know if that pad’s active, but there are actually up to 5 different NOTAMs related for these and the closure windows are very strange:

The strange thing is that - disregarding A1722 (orange zone in diagram below) that’s at different times and doesn’t seems to point to TSLC, all the other 4 zones - 2 towards the usual SSO satellite launch direction from Taiyuan (A1721 in particular was apparently used in the 2 CZ-2C launches of HY-1C & 1D) and 2 towards the north-west that seems more like a missile test - are given the same windows. Windows of 40 minutes each centred at ~01:13 and ~08:23 UTC!

If they are 2 satellite launches, then it would be strange for the SSO one to have 2 daily launch windows, which would have made the SSO characteristics rendered moot. And that NW track is not a typical satellite launch corridor.

If they are 2 missile tests, this begs the question of why one is launched on a trajectory reserved for orbital launches and doesn’t point to a test range (unless it’s to a submarine or something like that in the South China Sea, which I very much doubt).

If they are mixture of both, this begs the question of why there are flexible launch windows for both.

And we don’t have any candidate of a payload for an orbital launch from there recently, unlike in Jiuquan where TH-1-04 was promptly found in NOTAMs.

I have no idea about what’s going on…

No orbital launch announcement at this time. NOTAMs A1718 to A1722 were issued for missile activity.

August 23th to August 25nd: LC-3 - CZ-3B - ?
September 8th to September 9th: LC-2 - CZ-3B - ChinaSat-9B
September 23rd to September 25th: LC-3 - CZ-3B - ?
October 16th to October 18th: LC-2 - CZ-3B - ?
November 2nd to November 4th: LC-3 - CZ-3B - ?

Flight test of China's commercial carrier rocket fails
Source: Xinhua| 2021-08-03 22:42:50

JIUQUAN, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- The flight test of the third Hyperbola-1 commercial carrier rocket was unsuccessful.

Abnormal performance was identified during the flight of the rocket, which lifted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China at 3:39 p.m. (Beijing Time) on Tuesday.

The satellite, carried by the rocket, did not enter orbit as scheduled.

Cross-post regarding payload on failed Hyperbola-1 launch:

Satellite onboard appears to have been Jilin-1 Mofang-01A (吉林一号魔方01A), per spaceflightfans.cn:

http://www.spaceflightfans.cn/event/hyperbola-1_y5

Mofang (魔方) translates to Rubik's Cube.

First of a fourth-generation of Jilin-1 satellites, detailed here:

Judging from the current news, the Jilin No. 1 series of optical satellites developed by Changguang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. have been confirmed to have developed to the fourth generation of products. The Jilin-1 Rubik’s Cube 01A optical satellite using the fourth-generation technology has a total weight of only 18 kilograms and the resolution of the photos taken can reach the level of one meter. Compared with the 420 kilograms of the original Jilin-1 optical satellite, there is a significant reduction in the total weight. , Which makes the fourth-generation Jilin-1 satellite have a more powerful one-shot multiple-satellite launch capability. At the same time, it also has the advantages of ultra-compact optical system design technology, ultra-lightweight and high-precision optical processing technology, multi-mode photoelectric imaging technology, and on-orbit AI information processing technology. The overall performance improvement is unprecedented.

Spaceflightfans.cn now lists a CZ-3B launch on August 23rd (CST UTC+8) but has not listed the payload or the launch time. The following article lists a SAST built payload is going through processing at Xichang. http://www.sitp.cas.cn/xwzx/zhxw/202108/t20210803_6150988.html

Recently, the launch test team of a certain model at the satellite launch base Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology has completed product self-testing and satellite-mounted testing, and all functions of the payload are normal. The satellite is about to be transferred to the launch area, and the test team is making the final sprint for the payload to be launched into orbit with the satellite. Deputy Secretary Tong Weiqi came to the launch center to make preparations with the test team members, and encouraged everyone to be careful and careful, strictly control the quality, and make new contributions to the dream of aerospace power!

At the satellite launch base, under the witness of Deputy Secretary Tong Weiqi, the first branch of the aircraft and the security software branch jointly carried out a joint construction activity of "Thoughtful organization and implementation to ensure complete success". The daily work of the two branches is for model tasks. Do a good job of management and service guarantee. Secretary Weng Dongshan of the First Division of the Engineering Department and Secretary Zhang Yuquan of the Tiaobao Software Branch conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on how to ensure the development of major model tasks between the two branches. The test team members of the Third Engineering Division participated in the activities. Through the joint branch building activities, we will not forget the original aspirations of strengthening the country, keep in mind the mission of flying to the sky, base ourselves on their posts, give full play to the pioneering and exemplary role of party members, work around the center of the institute, ensure the complete success of major model tasks, and let the party flag fly high in the front line of major aerospace projects!
