Strange (and long!) closure issued for today. No clue if it is a beach closure or rollout closure, as there is no document for the closure.
https://www.cameroncountytx.gov/order-temporarily-and-intermittently-closes-a-portion-of-state-hwy-4-monday-october-11-2021/

The document was just now posted, and even more confusingly, it says 12:00AM to 12:59AM...

NASA has published a document about observing Starship during reentry.

[zubenelgenubi: Identical content posted in the Starship heatshield thread. Discussion, if any, should continue there.]
https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=50748.msg2299082#msg2299082

https://ntrs.nasa.gov/citations/20210020835

Of note:

- NASA is making a special imaging system to view the reentry with an infrared camera mounted on a WB-57.
- Starship's heat tiles are called "Starbricks".
- NASA is targeting a Starship reentry observation in March of 2022.

What looks to have been one of the carriage rail carts has fallen from the tower, obviously no way to know how much damage there is (other than some broken scaffolding). Aftermath and above photo to show where the clip landed.

Per Elon, a new skate is already on its way to replace the one that fell off the tower earlier

The second Chopstick Arm was lifted into position for assembly with the carriage ahead of the entire structures installation on the Launch Tower. Meanwhile, work on the Wide Bay's foundation and Ship 21's nosecone continued, and a Raptor Vacuum engine was installed on Ship 20.
