STS 51-L Crew

Just finished reading "In the Spirit of Ronald E. McNair" by Carl McNair, and noticed a point that Ron intended to retire from the Astronaut Corps after STS 51-L.
This started a little thought experiment and I wonder if any of the other STS 51-L crew members would have also retired early or stuck around for many more flights? I know Dick Scobee planned to retire after STS 51-L and Mike Smith had another PLT spot. But what of Resnik and Onizuka?
Apologies for the "what-if" question. Pray indulge me.
