It occurred to me just now what the most important reason is for taking down the RSS at 39A.....it blocks the view on the SFN feed.

Once again I have undertaken to get the spiritual situation in order before the flight. While wandering a local park I encountered a friendly evangelist who told me he had previously soared the Heavens and danced with the riddles of the Cosmos. Then he explained to me that what I was after wasn't exactly rocket surgery and everything was going to be "cool man. Really far out cool." I must admit he had a comfortably numbing influence on all around him.  8)

Ya'll hang on. Everything gonna be alright.

So does Loss of Signal in the Bermuda Triangle mean we should party like it's 1999?

It did just claim the first stage!

Anyone else hear all the Ooohs and Aaaahs after stage seperation?  Makes me wonder if there is some good reentry video.

SpaceX finally got footage of Nessie eating a space

They finally got a glimpse of the monster that snacks on rockets in the Bermuda Triangle!

Buddy at work said "Whaaaat?! They're not recovering the first stage???" As if dropping a rocket booster in the ocean is the dumbest thing he ever heard.   8)

And that is what is known as a "paradigm shift".

I read somewhere around here that this is only the second time they haven't attempted to recover the booster since the first successful landing in December 2015.  SpaceX is landing more first stages than not nowadays.
The Space Age is just starting to get interesting.

Congratulations on hopefully one of the last SpaceX fully expendable launches (since there is no indication at the moment that fairy recovery attempt was planned either) !
Now to bring back everything !!! :-D
Oh, and we would loooove to see that hypothetical death cam footage from S1 !

perfect.

It's so retro that the reentry video is only in 8 bit color and in the background you can hear the music to Galaxian.

More like Galaga because Galaxian is less famous than the former.

It might be nice to have the RSS at the visitors center rather than scrapping it...
