Takes me back to the pre-Apollo days, back when anything was possible. I love the Bonestell lunar surface. It was actually sort of disappointing when the real lunar surface didn't look like that. Don't get me wrong, the rounded dusty Moon is really cool, too, but there was no more hiking in the eroded desert and pretending I was on the Moon.

Thank you! I loved that too. I had to feature it. It is so evocative of the time. I tried to get a more realistic method for the Earth renders and space scenes, but some reason those Bonestell moon scapes just called to me.
I'm still working on some printable models from this era and I'll probably do a few more renders of the Bottle suits and the Umbrella Ship.
I was tempted to do some work on the post-Apollo nuclear space tug and Mars missions.
