Three "firsts" for this launch:
Most massive satellites to geostationary transfer orbit (GTO) by any launch vehicle worldwide: total 10,623 kg

Most massive payload carried by Ariane 5 to GTO: over 11,200 kg

Tallest Ariane 5: 56.4 m

Both satellites are produced by Thales Alenia.

Director of operations (DDO) confirmed the start of synchronized launch sequence at T-minus 07:00.

All green board changed to red at T-minus 06:05, segment "Ensemble de lancement."

And therefore, a red "Autorisation lancement."

The count returns to T-minus 07:00 if an issue arises during the synchronized launch sequence.

Launch is holding at T-minus 07:00.

Launch window extends from 01:01 to 03:30 UTC.

The webcast presenters are back. A pressure reading in the main stage of the launch vehicle had an unusual reading. Additional testing was performed, and the countdown is expected to resume shortly.

Stephane Israel did speak to the next launches, but either his statement or the English translation were muddled.

Four more launches before the year's end, including Vega, and James Webb Space Telescope on December 18.

No specific date given for Vega launch.

[No specific mention of the Galileo pair on Soyuz?]

[Fourth launch would be next OneWeb launch from Baikonur.]

I assume there was live coverage "en francais" but I can't find it. Someone must have heard the closing statement "raw."

Edit: What I could not find for myself searching YouTube, the YouTube algorithm found for me!

A lesser item: the banter about the launch continued for several seconds over the appearance of the launch criteria violation, before acknowledging it.
