Ohhh how I miss an active Party Thread... Hang on, can we predict when the first F9R will be in the Cape or Vandy for launch preparations ? Then we could have a new, active party thread. Wanted to post this to Chris's tweet gone wild thread (already locked) !

That's a curious insight you have there.

We only seem to have party threads for SpaceX launches.

Why not party threads for, say, ULA launches?

"No, no...we can't have those. ULA represents serious rocketry. Decades of reliability and dedication. We must hold discussions of great import and consequence."

Frak that.

Let's blow the roof off a ULA launch. The next Cygnus launch could definitely call for some lampshade wearing and copious liquid alcohol tanking and detanking tests by the NSF crews. My personal fuel choice will be a well-filled snifter of brandy.

I'll even make a suggestion for the party thread title: "ULA/Cygnus: Always Have A Blast Before You Take Off."

Chris tried them for Antares, they sorta fissiled.... Apparently ULA fans are a bit better behaved and don't need a timeout room ;)

...Though, Tory Bruno did recently tweet about his grandmother taking his dynamite away  ;D

Perhaps the dearth of SpaceX fannish stuff might make at least this Cygnus launch something to chat about. But I see your point. Save the occasional use of laudinum by Tory Bruno where we happily mistake him as a SpaceX intern, other commercial rocketeers seem far too serious.

Perhaps a general party thread for the ULA or related families. While SpaceX party threads are BYOB and tailgating, perhaps we can hire a fine cater, import in some cooling absinthe for the L C2H5OH tests. Nice hors' d'oeuvres. A little light clapping and "good show!"

Soon we'll get that Tory Bruno with dynamite shot and cause quite the scandal!

They do just like the great ones in sports do when they score.  They act like they have been there before.

This one was exciting too, but it was deliberate.

It's the safe way to drain fuel from a solid booster.  ;D

OK is it time to discuss the next party thread name?
possible Themes to weave in:
   RTF
   Orbcomm-2
   landing attempt
   re-light stage 2 test

1) RayTF ORBcommisson  - Anything you want, You got it
2) RTF Orbcomm-2 Launch, Land, and Relight

... what other possibilities?

Colonize Mars!

Need a SpaceX version of this t-shirt used by a certain Italian midfield maestro.

No SpaceX, No Party.

Anyone want to photoshop? ;D

PS Will be setting up the ORBCOMM-2 threads this weekend. No I'm not asking for Party Thread suggestions ;)

Sounds like we need a thread of rejected party thread titles.
