Woohoo!! Great news that they are gonna do the stream. They were keeping tabs on my IG stories, I'd like to think the big turnout for the twitch stream showed them that people really want to watch :)

It's really cold and it's been snowing nonstop here. I'll see if I can stream the launch still, but if it's snowing heavily I might not even be able to see anything. Audio would still be good though

Great work with the initial stream setting the precedent and now hanging in there for the duration! The weather looks better for today than tomorrow though, so strange they went for another postponement. maybe they actually have an upper-level winds forecast that's saying different? Sunday still looks the best at ground level.

Looking at the detailed forecast there are some high level clouds coming in during the window today, maybe it's that they're worried about. Tomorrow will have little to none high level clouds.

This is where it's good to keep in mind that Andøya is a well established launch operator with decades of rocket launches, orbital is a big step up but they have a lot of expertise on hand that Isar can lean on.

Just got a text alert that they are extending the road closure period. Previous was March 20-30. Now it's also for March 31st through April 6th. 09:00-17:00.

They do say it's contingent on the launch not happening in the previously announced period.

Wonder why they didn't want to go today.. wind has been very calm. I'm scheduled to fly out tomorrow so I really hope it goes up tmr! But the wind doesn't look good

After a second launch attempt today, the first test flight of Spectrum is scrubbed due to weather restrictions. Subject to weather, safety and range infrastructure, the new launch window opens NET 30 March.

Note that per NOTAMs on the first post of this thread, with Europe in daylight saving time since the 30th, it seems Isar want to keep the launch time in local time the same, so the window is shifted one hour EARLIER in UTC (10:30 - 13:30 UTC).

Interview with one of the spaceport staff about the weather conditions that have been blocking this week.

Prevent debris from blowing towards shore
– The wind does not necessarily blow in the same direction on the ground and higher up. That is the phenomenon that is giving us challenges now, says Harr.

On Friday, there will be a mild offshore wind on Andøya. Basically perfect weather for a launch.

But only a few hundred meters up, the wind blows towards land. And so it is up to several kilometers high.

– It is the wind that is most critical for the launch vehicle when it is in flight. If there is too much wind in the wrong direction, there would be a risk that any debris could blow overland. Under such conditions, we cannot carry out a launch.
