I'll definitely have to go back soon after it opens to see the rest. I was very impressed. I kinda thought it seemed too dark at times but there may be more lighting going in, not sure. But the theme IS supposed to be simulating on-orbit so it probably won't get much brighter. All in all it was very surreal knowing that I worked on her and saw her on the pad less than 2 years ago, knowing that i helped with annual validations on that vent arm a few years before that. It still is somewhat depressing seeing her there. but it definately beats the alternative, like Buran's fate, or rotting in a boneyard somewhere. Like I told someone else there, it more than does her justice after the injustice that she, and the rest of the program, suffered due to the country's financial woes and changing political winds. But that is a subject for a different thread....I wholeheartedly recommend going. Pay her a visit. I think she'd appreciate it.....
There's a neat looking ISS exhibit for the kids to play in, when it's finished.
Looks like something interesting is happening to the right. There's a black line on the concrete and what looks to be some stabilizers on the ground. The previous cherry pickers didn't use that AFAIK.Anyone have an idea?
