He's a good puss! I'm missing mine terribly.

Mine brought me a live mouse *just* before the landing and released it in my (less than tidy) underground lair!

Smart girl, she knows you gotta have food to make it a party.

Groan...  When I was in college we joked about a malady we called "CRT-eyes" (a terminal illness).

Oh yes. My eyes got wrecked with green-dot screens doing programming in the 80s

Ugh, smeary green dots on old NTSC screens, makes my head hurt just thinking about it again.  How did we get anything done back then? :D

Shii-yoot. How id we ever get it done with punchcards? Only good memory I have about them days was how great chads were for confetti. Hard as heck to get out of a shag carpet, tho.

Would you say " Three chairs for SpaceX!" ?
This thread needs a "Groan" button for such atrocious puns...
That was the desired response ..
Convenient pun evaluation scale for you

Level zero- nothing, or  maybe a mild smile
Level one - small laugh or minor verbal expression including mimicking a typical drum sound machine "ba-da bum Ching"
Level two - grown .. "buuyaaaa" etc.
Level three  - falling on the floor,  laughing uncontrollably, milk or soda coming out nose etc.
Level four - (note: these puns are so bad they require a trigger warning label)
physical distress like cardiac arrest, brain aneurysm, etc.

Too soon to propose separate party thread for the FH?

we seem to be doing OK with just the one thread.

To be a considered a heavy thread, doesn't it require three threads?

Could temporarily rename this thread when the time comes possibly.

For a short-term FH party thread, I'd suggest the name "He ain't Heavy -- he's my Falcon"...  :D

May have to wait till we know the "payload"
If it's a bus it opens up a host of possibilities
FH demo Magic bus space tour
FH demo Bus-ta-move
Etc.

I've suggested before the FH party thread should be along the lines of 'We like big boosters and we cannot lie...'

Re: Elon Musk and the recent Formosat-5/Stage 1 return
No bragging. This is just the first round in prepping all of us for a surprise.

My (uninformed) speculations re the Surprise:

Elon has a secret paleo-biogenetics lab, funded from his sizable personal fortune.

His minions have bred Pleistocene fauna and flora from DNA samples obtained in the La Brea tarpits of Los Angeles...

He has obtained one of the Catalina Islands for an open-range display of his Ice Age menagerie, which will be open to visitors interested in purchasing tickets on the ultimate "advent-ucation."

Another revenue stream: Pay-per-view fees of Youtube video of saber-tooth cats riding SpaceX Roombas...

Can I just ask why can't people understand that number of sides on OTV-5's fuzzy dice is a secret and that is why there will be no video from inside the fairing.

Clearly not. Terfalconium or something similar.

I see as much likelihood of the F9 US "evolving" into ITS as I see a tortoise evolving into a sperm whale. But please continue to explain what you have in mind. If it's so simple it should be simple to explain.

I think your analogy is confused, because if you already had a tortoise then you'd probably want to evolve it into Gamera to get it space rated. The F9 US is much more shaped like the sperm whale, and the tortoise already has landing legs. So... If you were instead trying to evolve a sperm whale into a tortoise, then clearly you would look to transition through a sea turtle.

I have to say that I find the remarks of "it was Boring" shocking and rather off topic! After all, Tesla is off topic for this site (I think?) so shouldn't Elon's other companies be likewise OT? (I'm referring to The Boring Company, of course).

:p
