Ronsmytheiii - 24/9/2007 10:27 AMthey state that SpaceX has positive net income, however where is that coming from if they have not launched a commercial satellite successfully yet?
Chris Bergin - 25/9/2007 3:38 AMWhile our interview was obviously exclusive, it's also worth noting, as it didn't get as much exposure as it should have:
simpl simon - 25/9/2007 9:56 AMDon't know why AW couldn't provide a direct link to NASASpaceflight.com...........
Seer - 24/9/2007 2:48 PMThings I'm surprised to hear. Musk can fund the COTS portion entirely from his own funds.
mr.columbus - 25/9/2007 12:34 PMI am very surprised about that as well. The COTS portion to be provided through external funding of SpaceX is about 400 million (60-70% of the total COTS funds required from 2006-2010).

Where did you find that information? It is not on the published Space Act agreement.

Musks ventures, Tesla Motors, has not shipped even one of their Roadsters yet ( due later this year ) but they have like 400 preorders right now for the $100 000 electric rubber burner. His ventures are visionary enough so people gladly pay him lots of money even before he delivers
James (Lockheed) - 26/9/2007 2:26 PMFalcon 9 is the key for them. If they can make that a success, then they will be joining the big league.
tnphysics - 26/9/2007 8:49 PMIf SpaceX succeeds with there Falcon 1 & Falcon 9, they will get the entire U.S. and commercial market. They will outcompete all competitors and bankrupt ULA.
