HI I have a functioning prototype of an open source simple browser for curiosity that allow highlighting tagging and commenting. Would love some help taking in it to the next level  ;D

http://www.mars-browser.co.uk/curiosity/

I use a combination of data feeds including the json feeds, XML location feeds and the PDS and link to all the originals and research material.

does anyone know of a KML that has the MSL names eg rocknest, glenelg etc?
also looking for a high res tiled basedmap .

any help appreciated, its taken a lot of late nights to get the code done, the intention is to expand this to all missions to allow crowd sourcing of image classification.

Cheers

Sunil

If you haven't already, you might want to check at the MSL section on http://www.unmannedspaceflight.com, particularly
Curiosity Image Retrieval Tools, scripts and software http://www.unmannedspaceflight.com/index.php?showtopic=7408
MSL data in the PDS and the Analyst's Notebook, Working with the archived science & engineering data http://www.unmannedspaceflight.com/index.php?showtopic=7613

thanks :-) have allready integrated most of those sources - eg I go straight into the PDS and the MSL notebook from the msl raw images.  will post back here if I find what I'm looking for.

Sunil,

The referenced site is not available, are you still working on this project?

@kdomik - had to move to better hosting and move my domains, its all back up and working  at http://www.mars-browser.co.uk/curiosity/. I have a graphic designer on board who is redesigning the UI so it will change. Since I last posted I'm parsing the hirise PDS data and displaying them in situ to the cusiosity traverse on google earth plugin 8)
