Yeah, I know: this is a technology-oriented forum, but -- hey, Christmas is just days away, so Merry Christmas everyone, or Joyeux Noel, Frohe Weihnachten, Felice Navidad, or what else You are about to celebrate! And Happy Hanukkah!

Let's lean back for a while and think of the triumphs and challenges of the shuttle program and other spaceflight efforts this year. With so many ups and downs, I can't wait to see what the new year will bring.

At least three shuttle flights, I hope ...  :)

As I prepare to shut down my office computer one last time this year, I'd like to share some of my favorite space-related Christmas links with You:

http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/video/shuttle/sts-103/html/fd7.html
http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/lunar/apollo8_xmas.html
http://science.nasa.gov/newhome/headlines/ast25dec99_1.htm

Does anyone know some more links like those above?

I know most of you lot won't relate, but Christmas is great - having a bbq with the family on the beach. Yep, summer for christmas in the Southern hemisphere. Lazing around, not having to wrap up warm to do the last minute shopping, ahhh.

Have a good break people, I for one know I will. Too bad you can't make it over for New Years Chris, that Shihad gig has the best bands in NZ at it.

Yeah...I'll contribute here.

I hope everyone has a happy holiday season...whichever holiday you celebrate...It's Christmas in our house.  We will be having company of course...family from the cold north will be visiting for a while.  The last visitor will be leaving the day before the rescheduled New Horizons launch.

Cheers,

Larry

Happy Christmas everyone. Don't forget there's a Russian launch on the 25th - I'm sure you'll all be wanting to leave the relatives to follow that ;)

Happy Christmas everybody, or as my American mates always say "Happy Holidays". Can I ask, as I've never asked my mates this, but why do you say Happy Holidays more than Happy Christmas? If any country is big on being a Christian, it has to be the US?

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone.  Here's hoping that NASA puts it's problems behind it and we see the Shuttle flying again in 2006.
