Are there any public sources of information about which describe the Orbital Sciences RAPTOR LV (Wingless Pegasus?)? Specifically interested in orbital performance and types of launch aircraft under consideration etc.

I don't know of any. I saw a drawing of it a few years ago. As you say it is a wingless Pegasus, using a pallet air-drop technique, similar to LRALT. The aircraft of choice would be the C-17, since the C-5 is no longer air-drop qualified.
