Quote from: Satori on 10/31/2011 04:46 pmThere is another launch being prepared at Jiuquan at the same time they are countingdown for the SZ-8 launch. Maybe this is the Shiyan Weixing-4 and Chuang Xin-3, or the YaoGan Weixing-13 launch.I am in email contact with one of the German team members at JSLC, who prepare the SIMBOX for SZ-8. I asked if anything is visible of launch preparations at pad 603. He answered that the pad is still empty.

I'm not seeing how, but this poster (an "insider", so as to speak) seems to imply that the launch of FY-2F might happen within this year! Maybe the launch schedule at Xichang for the next two months look like this:~December 1: Compass-IGSO 5 (LM-3A) (LC-3)~December 15: Nigcomsat-1R (LM-3B) (LC-2)~December 30: FY-2F (LM-3A) (LC-3)~January 15: Compass-GEO 5 (LM-3C) (LC-2)...but I am skeptical about this. If true, however, this fits with the next flight from Taiyuan being the ZY-1-02C launch (NET mid-December, since the satellite only left the factory on October 28th), and only one more YG launch is scheduled for this year.Oh and BTW, it looks like there will be three launches in January, one from each launch site. I am betting that the one from Jiuquan is either HJ-1C or SJ-11-05, but this is nothing more than an uneducated guess...
