According to a travel agency website promoting visits to XSLC
Quote
9月中旬景区将会有一次卫星发射,欢迎游客届时参观
which translates as
"in mid-September there will be a satellite launch, visitors are welcomed"

In fact, launch should take place between September 13 and September 18 (local time) according to the dates available for ticket booking.

Great! Thanks input~2, I will wait a few more informations regarding the payload before updating the schedule.

With the successful launch of ZX-1A today, I assume and hope that this will open to doors for launching the satellites delayed by the SJ-11-4 failure.

Of course, priority will be given to Tiangong 1, but it will be interesting to see what else goes up in the next few weeks.   SJ-11-5 perhaps if they have a spare one hanging about? :-)

According to interfax.by, the official name of the future Belarus communications satellite is "BELARUS SAT 1"
http://www.interfax.by/news/belarus/98683
and it will indeed be launched by CZ-3B/E

The launch of Tiangong-1 has slipped to September 29 due to bad weather. Launch window is 13:20 -13:30 UTC.

Go Taikonauts! is reporting the launch date of Shenzhou 10 with one female taikonaut as specifically 1 November 2012.

I can't see that Go Taikonauts says that at all. There is no mention of the date you quote, just the usual 'by the end of next year', which has been the situation for some time as far as SZ-10 is concerned.

http://go-taikonauts.com/en/

Whilst they may have nominally assigned crews to SZ-9 and SZ-10 there are surely several demanding hurdles to be cleared before they begin to announce launch dates.

It was in a Twitter message. Perhaps they are confusing the Shenzhou 8 launch which seems to be official now for 1 November 2011.

@GoTaikonauts: Shenzhou 10 now scheduled for 1 November 2012 launch - China's first female taikonaut will be onboard.....

I can see that 'Tweet' now......but it still seems unlikely to me. Yes, I agree that they are probably mixing up the SZ-8 date for 2011 and the approximate timeframe for SZ-10. Maybe Chen Lan could clarify at some point.

Philatelic enveloppes for next launch from Xichang at early October are in preparation (http://htjyw.uueasy.com/read-htm-tid-26284.html). Usualy it takes about 2 weeks from this announcement to the real launch date.

This should be the W3C launch or a new Compass sat.
