To me it means that SpaceX can keep moving forward... no steps back, or sideways... and that FH and re-usability can now be worked on with confidence that the money will be there... they have a work horse that will pay the bills

even with all the stops and starts this past week, I feel that this will only make operations that more secure...

edit, Oh yeah, Well done SpaceX and exceptionally well done, Chris... thx for the hard work you and the others have done to make this website operationally tough.... yeah, I know, the L2 subscribers are important, but without the people who put in the long hours in the back ground, maintaining this site, and doing the write ups, it wouldn't be what it is...

There was talk of GH2 test in Dec, something else look forward too, besides thaicom and Chinese Rover.

Chris is going to have to upgrade the servers again for Falcon Heavy and DragonRider.

(Edit: Seriously, I'm surprised it got more viewers than the first v1.1 launch in September, since that one was on a weekend. I guess all of the scrubs increased interest.)

As with last Monday's attempt, I had to stay after work to watch it since I didn't have enough time to drive home. When I arrived home, I found the SpaceX coffee mugs I ordered last week waiting on my front porch. I didn't think I would get them until tomorrow.

I must say, they are the largest ceramic coffee mugs I've ever seen. I do believe they are the same diameter as the Falcon 9. I measured one. It holds 18 ounces, or half a liter. That's just...nuts.

The insurance was high I'm sure, but the price difference to the accountants is probably like free money!

Take my advice and just go ahead and buy a lifetime membership if you can afford it. When I first joined I bought a year's subscription, and at the end of the year I renewed with a lifetime membership. It was a no-brainer.

We had two big peaks. One pre launch (two hours to go, in tandem with a couple of other parts of the forum gaining some externally linked attention), and then it got close to that peak again near launch, shy by about five percent of the earlier peak (the current record). Both peaks broke the old site record. Site was above the previous record for a few hours continuously.

Notably, there is a pattern with T-0. We get busier before and after T-0, so I think a lot of people stop using the forum and just watch the launch for several minutes, which makes sense.
