Do you know a tune called "Eye Level"!!! Might be appropriate now that the SpaceX team can get a bead on the problems!!! Can't do the link right now, but I know it is on YouTube...

Appropriate story problem:

How thin would you have to slice a raw turkey so that when laid in the flame trench it is fully cooked by the time the Falcon 9 leaves the pad?  This launch has the potential to be the most awesome Thanksgiving feast ever!

Are you sure it is not how thick?

Hmmm... Roasting a turkey in the flame trench, novel idea. Still I think it would be cool for SpaceX just this once to rename the Falcon 9 the Turkey 9 with redone logo on the side of the rocket just to have a sense of humor and to get into the Thanksgiving spirt of things.

I am not proud of this...  :)

Wishing SpaceX the best Thanksgiving there can be, and hoping to see F9R-1 fly in time for Christmas.
I love the holidays this year.

Having to launch on Thanksgiving Day kind of sucks because you can’t sit around with your pants unbuttoned after the main event...  :D

Wow, that's not a very nice way to refer to Paul Allen and Richard Branson.  ;)  ;D

edit - dang they gave it away on the label ;D

OK, if you want old-ish music from British TV, which program had this contemplative little piece, "Left Bank Two" by the Noveltones?

The answer is not Little Big Planet :D

(... and I think we need some quiet contemplation as we wait patiently for the next launch opportunity :) )

Now you got me... I left Blighty in '53, so didn't grow up with the majority of the TV stuff... my sons in law have been trying to re-educate me... but I haven't entered my "second childhood" yet.... at least I hope I haven't  :o

Probably need to get this back to SpaceXey things now. Although it's providing a good example as to why we'll never have on of those "Free Space" areas, like the one that pretty much killed space.com's old messageboard.

But I want to hawk my burnt toast that looks like it survived a flame trench  :o

I'm looking forward to the launch of Meleagris 9 tomorrow. ("Meleagris" is the scientific name for turkey. I prefer it because "turkey" sometimes means "failure.")
