Back to the duck for a moment...
Why bother with LZ-1? Just let it splashdown - it will float after all.......and use the "landing legs" to paddle to shore.
Add 3% habanero to the duck's feed for a hotter burn?
How about 60 nano sats. Each with a battery, solar cells and a bunch of super bright LEDs. Station keeping would take some development. But for SpaceX, I'm sure a trivial problem. Future advertising possibilities could fund ITS!

That's horrific.

I agree, filling the night sky with advertisements is a really dumb idea. With much larger, more powerful sats, advertising during the day would be possible. Really a much better way to go as most of the target audience would be awake to see it!

Don't duck answering our questions....

We could always build a Dyson sphere around the earth. No more pesky stars.Cover the outside with solar panels ending the energy crisis and global warming.By selling the advertising rights to the inside surface we could have the advertisers and Nigerian prince's pay for it!I for one look forward to the day I look up to what was the sky and see Chris's L2 add.
