BEAUTIFUL IMAGE of dragon seperation!
no problem whatsoever with spin.

Just before cutoff of the webcast, it seemed the tower at the pad was blackened quite a bit

Hats off for Falcon 9 performance! Tower hose ignition aside, looked picture perfect in the video!

SpaceX webcast coverage ending.

That seemed to go very well! Love the little thruster reflexing to the roll. "Get back in line!" :)

Doesn't sound like we'll be getting video of the re entry live anyway.

But that was amazing! Well done Space X. :)

You could hear the excitement in the guy's voice when he confirmed successful Dragon deployment!

Major Kudos to the Space-X team.   There'll be some celebrations in town here tonight...

I hope the re-entry goes as smoothly later this afternoon :)

Ross.

Great launch, but I had 2 problems.

My camera's ISO was (accidentally) set @3200  >:( Thus this is best of the crappy pictures I got:

Second, I got a significant 3 minute delay on NASA TV >:(

That was exciting!  I know it's the live update thread, but since they're in orbit now I'll just say congrats to SpaceX!  Hope the capsule makes it all the way home, but just to get here is certainly quite an accomplishment.

IIRC the tower hose was also on fire at launch #1, but not as spectacular as today.

Was forced to watch NASA cause the webcast didn't work for me so only ground tracker 1st stage flight. But damn, something *really* ignited in the tower pipes after liftoff.

Excitement in the voice? I heard the mission controllers cheering.  With good reason too - this is, after all, a moment towards which they have all been working for some time.

I'm presuming that Dragon-1 is now go for its predicted two orbits, followed by a Draco powered de-orbit and recovery off the West Coast.
